That's fairly typical VicPol behaviour. I'd let it through to the keeper.found it
More that it wasn't necessary, and makes it look like vicpol are taking the side of the anti trans/ neonazis. Poor optics. While if they had just stood by, let Meddick rant, but then if Meddick moved towards the nazis then block his way theres no bad optics. That's fairly typical VicPol behaviour. I'd let it through to the keeper.

What about this? This is also typical vicpol behaviour when dealing with the left. That's fairly typical VicPol behaviour. I'd let it through to the keeper.
Well done to Pesutto. Zero tolerance.

I suspect there will be few in the party room who'll be sorry to see her go. Imagine how dumb you'd have to be to given the Party Whip under huge sufferance and then blow it to go hang out with some fascists. Will he have the votes in the party room? He only won the leadership by a single vote, they’re not exactly United behind him
Personally if they don't have the votes I'd like to see the party split. Will he have the votes in the party room? He only won the leadership by a single vote, they’re not exactly United behind him

Like you protest for human rights or action on climate change you cop this.
You do the nazi salute and call for trans people to be eradicated (something they also did in nazi Germany btw)
And the cops give you a protective escort.

It's one cop giving a gentle nudge to someone at a protest. That wouldn't be close to being newsworthy in the days before smartphones.More that it wasn't necessary, and makes it look like vicpol are taking the side of the anti trans/ neonazis. Poor optics. The point is these are now days of smartphones and the police need to lift their behaviour accordinglyIt's one cop giving a gentle nudge to someone at a protest. That wouldn't be close to being newsworthy in the days before smartphones.
I'm not expecting you or anyone else to tolerate that. The police are employed to act within and upon the law, even loosely as many officers do, and I saw nothing outrageous in Crankyhawk 's link.We know what the Nazi's end game is. Why should we tolerate that?
You side with the nazis right to free speech.....I'm not expecting you or anyone else to tolerate that. The police are employed to act within and upon the law, even loosely as many officers do, and I saw nothing outrageous in Crankyhawk 's link.
My personal opinion is that the right to conduct peaceful protest generally overrides all else. In the case of hate, I make an exception when the law agrees. In this instance, I can't see any breach of law from the nazis so I side with their right to free speech. IANAL so I'm happy to be corrected by someone with knowledge in the field.
This is standard, this is the police force. This sort of stuff is disgraceful.
No idea on the context of the video but the guy is clearly contained on the ground with several police officers on top of him. Why does this thug feel the need to do what he did? It’s beyond awful that we have people like this still in our police force.

Then you're pig ignorant about history, give these people an inch and they take a mile. I'd have rounded the lot of them up, put them in maximum security with Islamic fascists, locked the door and let nature take it's course.I'm not expecting you or anyone else to tolerate that. Eh, they'll change the laws.Maybe he should be calling out his own police force for protecting the nazis.
He won't though.
Or you know for assaulting the people protesting the nazis.
He won't do that either though.
He does love an empty platitude on social media though
Imagine being the Herald Sun editor. They're not running any stories about the nazis and Deeming on their web-page (found one further down after 3 stories about the royals).
Bolt's article today is titled "Melbourne protest exposes twin faces of tribalism", so I'm guessing that it's equating the nazis doing nazi salutes with trans people and supporters yelling at anti-trans activists (not necessarily the nazis).
So the Herald Sun editor has spent the last week trying to get traction with a letter from an ex-IBAC commissioner about integrity, then the LNP upper-house whip attend a rally with nazis. Their excuse is that they didn't invite the nazis, they just happen to share the same ideology.
This is why Andrews is getting away with whatever he pleases, Deeming was top of the ticket for the Upper House and within a year, they're trying to boot her from the party because it turned out to be true when everyone exposed her as a bigot prior to the election.
Hmm, do I vote for the party with the Premier who had a nasty letter written about him relating to integrity, or do I vote for the party with a habit of endorsing people with such similar ideologies to nazis that the nazis make up half of their rally audiences.
And the rest of this term of State Govt is going to involve the Libs fighting themselves about whether they should let Bigots be nominated top of the ticket again. Meanwhile Andrews does as he pleases.
Well there you go.
