Great win for India, to go from a position where they looked like losing at the start of the day to snatching a win at the end of it.

Demoralising loss for England, you would think they will have to make some changes for the next test especially to their batting line up.

England basically lost this test from a very winnable position in the morning because Bumrah got into the heads of the entire English team with that surprise bodyline bowling against Anderson eventhough he didn't pick a wicket in that entire first innings.

Some good old 4D chess by Bumrah..

Very poor execution by England bowlers to allow rank tailenders Ishant and Bumrah vital runs while Shami showed batting nouse and good composure to steer the score out of England's reach. Those runs and losing both openers without scoring shattererd any Pommie resolve. The Indians, under Kohli have nurtured a habit of conjuring something from nothing. They did it against us last year. The ECB must make changes or they risk being flogged here and by us in the Ashes.

India heading into day 5 were long outsiders to win it but by jeez thats a win for the ages..............

If you have doubts about Kohli's captaincy- especially as he wasn't the leader during the last 3 test matches, it can be cleared now.

That's an Australian style collapse from the Poms, how many overs left when India got the final wicket ?
Given the target was 272 off 60 overs. They bat 51.5 overs in their 2nd innings.

England were about 8 overs or so short of batting out the time for the draw..............

thats a huge mental scar England will have to overcome going ahead in this series.

Surely now wholesale changes need to be made for England, they’ve solely relied on Root for at least the last year now.

Massive SOS needs to be made and Vince and Malan need to be instantly in for Sibley and Hameed.

Sibley will go down as the worst test opener of all time and Hameed looked like Bambi.

you could toss a coin between Burns and Crawley. Crawley is more talented but is hopelessly out of form atm.

An outstanding win to wake up to. Enthralling viewing last night, Bumrah and co absolutely head ****ed England and it was brilliant to see England capitulate under the pressure.

So keen to watch the mini match. Buttler and Anderson etc would’ve copped plenty out there. If it wasn’t for the rain last week India could be 2-0.

Siraj has quickly become on my of favorite bowlers. Just love the way he attacks the stumps.

Amazing victory, what an enthralling final day. IMO this is the best batting from an Indian tail in a long long time. They played proper cricketing shots and defended when needed. Field placements and captaincy was shithouse but Bumrah and Shami played well too!

Siraj might be a bit of a prick but can't fault his effort and skill. Absolute colossus performance on the final day. After the Aus victory, India doesn't fear any situation.

Joe Root could do with a bit of support from his teammates.

Plenty of English batsmen got starts but none apart from Root went on with it. Hameed was just brought in, do they drop him already? Surely the openers need to change. Reckon they'll back Bairstow/Butler and Ali was decent this match. Just don't see much improvement with possible changes tbh. Wood/Anderson might miss next test too due to injury/loading.

The two players aside from Root who have the most mental fortitude in the England set up are Broad and Stokes (yes I know that sounds strange considering Broad mentally can’t get past his batting scars). The guys in there at the moment look absolutely bereft and having bits and pieces players like Curran and Ali in there doesn’t help. This is the ultimate team of downhill skiers at the moment and they need to sort it out quickly.

Does england have any young batsmen or bowlers they can bring in? like a potential young superstar? I don't know much about english cricket depth but burns/sibley/hameed leave me with no confidence in their batting stocks.

Unsure about curran, he swings the ball but it's usually from the hand rather than late swing and at his speeds it's pretty ineffective.

Would love england just to blood some dynamic batsmen/bowlers (if they have any)

I’m sure The 100 will solve the issue
