A big month of tennis ahead with the main draw of Indian Wells starting tonight and then it's over to Miami once we are finished in California. I think these 2 tournaments are big enough to deserve a thread.

Most of the top 32 players are in the women's and men's draw, except those with injuries.

Barty, De minaur and kyrgios seeded. Then we have millman, ebden, thompson, bolt, popyrin, hon, gavrilova, tomjlanovic and stosur.

Thompson just won his match over Delbonis in a 3rd set tb. Keeps winning those matches he should. Plays Thiem next.

Ebden lost to 40-year old Karlovic, out of sorts is what I describe the few games of that I saw.

Stosur got smashed by Brengle. Same with Hon.

Millman is on a little later.

Genie was never going to go far here. Even if she wins she has Collins and then probably Osaka up next.

God I hope Naomi doesn't lose again.

Well that was a heck of a match. Probably the highest quality match of the year on the wta Tour. They bring out the best in each other.

I always thought Nick was a near certainty to go out early this week after last weeks effort. Hopefully he can have a lot better tournament in Miami.
