just finished this game on my first run through - I went bad-ass evil.

Pretty cool ending to be honest. Becoming the beast was a twist I would never have picked. Also good how Nix and the other chick swapped roles. I'd like to see how the game finishes as Hero, but I'm kinda a bit meh about playing it again. The game was good, but a lot of side missions were repetitive, and the whole "industrial areal" on the 3rd island shitted me no end. Starting again would be tough having sfa in the way of powers

Sony finally stop beating around the bush with Sucker Punch and buys them. Now Sucker Punch will only develop on Sony platforms.

Sony have really built up a massive first party group of developers with Sucker Punch and Media Molecule being the biggest this gen.

Sony today announced it has purchased Sucker Punch Productions, developers of the Infamous and Sly Cooper franchises.

This move ensures that all games developed by Sucker Punch will remain exclusive to Sony's platforms going forward. Financial terms of this deal were not disclosed.

Finished my second playthrough today and a platinum trophy to boot, i had more fun doing the good playthrough (enjoyed the powers more myself)

I liked both endings, but i i felt i was invincible in the last few missions during the evil playthrough, and actually i dont think i died once in the last 6ish missions on hard  BUT enjoyed it and well worth a playthrough or 2 imo.

Also if you do some UGC missions try and find the ones done by suckerpunch, some good ones in there.

Finished my evil playthrough today, just have to get full negative karma now for the plat

definitely thought good ending was way better than the bad ending

cant be an infamous 3 now surely
Yep agree with ya about the endings.

New story based DLC seemingly in the mould of RDR's Undead Nightmare coming for inFAMOUS 2 in October.

inFAMOUS 2: Festival of Blood...featuring VAMPIRES!

Could be undead nightmare type epic. New Marais looks awesome in that vid you posted HBK.

Finished up my hard/evil playthrough and then the thunder drop from highest point for platinum. (left it til last)

Flew through my evil run as I only did approx half of the 60 odd side missions. (did them all on good + blast shards etc)

My thoughts, (in spoiler tags just in case)
GOOD
Least favourite of the 2 karma choices. Perhaps it was because I did everything possible during my good playthrough that things seemed to drag on a bit (60 side missions along with 40 story missions, dead drops & blast shards, UGC) I enjoyed it til it was bettered by the evil playthrough. I didn't like Nix and as your good decisions tend to go against her wishes, she nags even more, she was rather fun in the evil run. I didn't like the ice related powers and for that matter, the damn smaller ice conduits that jump all over the place (& seem to have NZ accents? lol ) I do like the crusher (largest) ice conduits. Exposing the weak point in their armour was cool.

Re the good ending cutscene, they could totally have a lightning bolt hit the boat & casket reviving Cole for a 3rd game.

EVIL, (in spoiler tags just in case)
Flew through it, concentrating mainly on the main story missions and only did about 20 side missions for XP. In every good/bad karma choice moment, the evil ones seemed more entertaining.
Guiding a tram full of explosives through the front gates = fun. Nix whinged less as you tend to go with her til near the end. Her voice was bad enough so to not hear her complain was a bonus. I guess the killing of her in the end probably made me like evil all the more. Prefer the evil powers and now that I've finished both, you get all powers anyway.
I liked crossing the river with the beast, seeing the boats that in the good playthrough, you had to jump accross.
An end moment with Zeke where he says "you know I gotta try right?" and Cole says "I know". That moment was simple and awesome.
Re the evil ending, full of comic book story which could have been half a game there, going on as the beast to conquer the world and find more conduits etc.

Not sure a sequel could pick up from either playthrough as the endings are very specific to your karma choices and those who perhaps only did 1 would have a serious WTF moment.
For me, the most memorable thing in the game was when Zeke says,
"Look at the horizon man, he's here" and sure enough, the silhouette of the beast is there, way off in the distance in it's epic size, battling nukes left right and centre.

I played about 10 UGC missions for that 25 trophy during my evil playthrough and damn this has come a LONG, LONG way. Search famous/recent.

There is some very technical climbing through spinning tunnels, collecting coins sonic style missions.

Some simple "fireworks" missions where you climb to a stated viewing point, spark up 1 bomb and watch it detonate a thousand after it, all in a row dominos style. One I played made it's way all around a park, up, then back down a building etc. Looks awesome.

Then there's the brutal mass kill (simple/over in a minute) missions where people/conduits are caged in and you light a bomb or ride a working elevator up incredibly high on the map, thunder drop through rings and destroy hundreds of people.

Now that there is a user based search feature for UGC, I'll play any if you guys have created something. Mine (which I liked) has gone since I upgraded to a 500GB hard drive. Must have deleted something.

FINALLY got around to finishing this game!

I had only played about 1/3rd of the game last year and sort of put it down and forgot about it towards the latter part of last year, so after I finished Max Payne 3 last month I decided that inFAMOUS 2 must be finished.

VERY glad I did. I don't know why I put it off for so long, the game is just so damn fun.

Really got on a roll after picking it back up and completed it quicker than I thought I would in the end. Also managed to pick up every blast shard only about 15 minutes after finishing the story.

I did the good ending and well:
How the **** are they going to get an inFAMOUS 3 out of that?! There's definitely a lot of speculation that inFAMOUS 3 will be coming, but I just don't see how it'll happen.

Very strong ending imo. I loved the change up of Nix and Kuo, made me think I had accidentally hit the wrong button on the final choice:p.

But very powerful in the way it ended. Was a nice power trip build up towards the end as well. The last few missions were really very enjoyable, I loved being able to recharge from the lightening in the sky as well in the final lead up.

Side missions were much more varied and enjoyable this time around too. Even the repetitive one's were varied or short fun bursts that it didn't matter that there was a repetition (I really enjoyed the visual spectacular that was the Overload missions).

Oh fwiw JADED, the Ice guys were Scottish. :p

Also just remembered that I'll have to give the Halloween content a go too. Got some decent reviews and looked like a fun diversion.

Can't wait to see what Sucker Punch bring out next that's for sure.

Was going to download this for free on PS+, but it's 15gb . Will take me a million years.
Well if your dust and bones can play it then, I reckon they'll say it's worth it. ;)

Seriously though, it's worth the 15GB, just keep it downloading in the background while you play various other games offline, etc. and eventually it'll have fully downloaded. Could leave it to Auto Update too!

I'll attempt it soon then :p Might download the smaller free games first.

Yeah, I'm stuck debating on what to download.

I'm probably going to get rid of my retail games to play list before piling up with another 4 or so that I haven't got that were in the free 10.

By then the other batch of games will be out and it'll be even harder to keep up!

Then I have to manage the 40GB (out of 250GB HDD) I have left between these high GB capacity games!

If you're going to download it, start it now at least, so you have access even when its taken off rotation.
When does it go off the rotation? 7th of July is in my mind?

I think its 30 or 45 days from whenever it was put up (6th June)
I think you're right. That would explain why 7th of July is in my head.

Definitely, the Sucker Punch guys have a real knack for story. They did it as well in inFAMOUS and again with 2. And they do it while keeping merit in the rest of the story (except for 1 where they forced the one situation on you no matter what).

Definitely why I'm interested to see what they have next.

inFAMOUS 1 and 2 are the only games i have wanted to platinum, and would love a third, but i just cant see that happening without the story giving us a massive wtf, after the way 2 finished.

What are they working on now? inFAMOUS 3? A new IP is my guess and i cant see that being a bad thing.
