27 days between JLT 1 and Round 1, 14 days between JLT 2 and round 1.

Don't know why there's a week break between JLT 2 and Round 1 but it definitely allows teams to be fresh.

Round 1 injury list:
Tom Rockliff: Available
Trevor Book: Available
Sam Powell-Pepper: Available
Jasper Pittard: Round 2

Matthew Broadbent: Currently shopping around at ikea for a working ankle.
Aidyn Johnson: Available (late withdrawal from JLT 2)
Willem Drew: Presumed dead despite alleged sightings
Toumpas: Didn't play for the Magpies. Probably finishing time trial.
Hewett & Patmore: Didn't play for Magpies either.

Travis Boak's hamstring is signalling it's intention to be tight for the next few weeks. Once the tightness is no longer signalling, it will be tried on the lower limb holocaust machine to assess it for sensitivity and general soreness.

He'll be lucky to play AFL again.
The rise of DBJ over the last two years has spelled the end for him. We’re well stocked for running defenders. He almost needs to reinvent himself as a shutdown defender or something else to find a spot in the side

Broadbent is unlikely to press for AFL selection until at least Round 7 as he rehabilitates a chronic ankle injury. He revealed he is about a month away from running again & will then need a “few’’ weeks to find fitness and form in the SANFL before being ready to return to AFL.

He would not be match fit for AFL until after Shanghai on May 19 - the next AFL game is June 2 and he has now been surpassed by a few other players.

He’s no Lobbe, but it’s looking more and more like another non-trade of a contracted player, whilst they had some currency, set to bite the club.

Because we didn't trade out a great club man and solid depth player for a draft pick in the 30s at best? Carn.

The Cobra has had a good run.

Got payed to play for the club he supported, and played a role in some very big wins for the club, as well as being a part of some momentous occasions.

He's no more than a senior back up player for us now, and that's part of the deal.

When and what was the offer for Broadbent?

I felt like it was the emergence of Houston more than anything.

Houston in particular was the problem for Broadbent, because they’re both very similar players but Houston just does the same thing slightly better. Houston has a level of skill and composure that Broady never really had.

Houston pushed out Broadbent. DBJ pushed out Impey. Bonner will have Pittard looking over his shoulder.

I think Jasper is gonna struggle to get back in, let alone Broady. But if he gets his ankle right and plays a decent chunk of quality games in the Maggies to get his fitness and touch back. An opportunity presents and he has the experience to step up right away.

I don't. Ken loves him. Players will be rested at some point. Jasper will play his guts out in the sanfool.
