The appointment of one of the famous clubs highest achievers as senior coach appears to have been a significant factor in exciting youngster Leroy Jetta extending his career at Essendon.

Jetta, 22, has accepted a new contract after a series of meetings with Hird in the days leading to Essendon’s fairest and best presentations.

Glad we kept Jetta - he seemed to be just starting to hit his starps towards the end of this season. Pretty good averages in 2010 - 17 disposals, 3 marks, 4 tackles + 0.8 goals.
Hopefully he can keep improving his consistancy and you would think theres plenty of upside since hes only 22. a player that can be part of our next push for a flag.
