I'm going to have to agree with you for once.Geez, you'd think they'd fix the network issues before releasing any DLC.
If only you could read.Geez, you'd think they'd fix the network issues before releasing any DLC.

To be fair GG/Sony haven't really done anything big in terms of advertising it, all they did was announce it and then give out a bit of news/info, basically that is it though, it is mainly media that blow everything up and report it as a bit more than they should.Yeah, but they haven't done shit for the last couple of weeks except jam their DLC down our throats. They should have released a patch in that time.
Honestly I don't see vehicles ever being included without major changing up and expanding of the maps, unless it would be vehicles for new maps, but then it might be a bit useless.was reading the ops magazine and its talking about online and it says "there will be dlc - more maps and the ability to use vehicles."
is this news or am i just way behind the times.

only ever heard rumours by people wanting it though, the way it is said is as if it is def going to happen.Honestly I don't see vehicles ever being included without major changing up and expanding of the maps, unless it would be vehicles for new maps, but then it might be a bit useless.
BTW it is sort of new, sort of not, vehicles have been mentioned before, but so has co-op and nothing eventuated there.
Yeah, problem is, we had articles confirming co-op would be added through DLC without any actual official confirmation, so really, unless it comes from the mouth of Sony or GG, it isn't happening.only ever heard rumours by people wanting it though, the way it is said is as if it is def going to happen.
The patch is 57MB large and a full list of fixes and updates below:

Cosmetic - Blue screen tint which indicates scout cloak is occasionally enabled and will remain indefinitely
DLC - DLC pack 1 - 'Steel & Titanium' support
DLC - New Loading screens advertising the first DLC pack
Feature - Invite player from friends list
Feature - Join Clan Member list added
Feature - Join Game - 17-24 players filter
Feature - MP - Moving while seeing scores after pressing SELECT
Feature - The radar/map now has a larger radius
Feature - Three additional 'Harcore' Ranks added to the top limits
Exploit - Tharsis Depot - Player can get out of the "normal" play area and can get into some sniper/camp spots
The majority of network stabilising will come in maintenance, not patch work from now on.It looks like they haven't bothered fixing the network stability.
God that pisses me off.
Maybe, I just had a couple of games then, no issues, same as last time I played(re no death lag), though it connected to online/Warzone WAY faster than usual, the only issue I have is that I tend to not have a ranking high enough to join too many of the games. That could be the case, but my new router has better specs than my older one and I can play R:FoM and R2 without any problems at all.
I got my router before the last patch as well and it was perfect. Maybe it's an issue with 2.70 or the last patch?
I must admit, that's one of the best patches i've ever seen for a game. Now there's way more incentive to keep playing and playing.

Wasn't it working ok on Sunday?I bit the bullet again and went and bought another router.
Wasted $$$
Anyway, the patch should be live at 6:00pm tomorrow. It's more like DLC than a patch...there's so many great looking features and add-ons coming with it.![]()
I apologise GG.
The trouble is on my end, or more specifically my shiny new router.
I typed 'DG834PN PS3' into google and I was overwhelmed with complaints from PS3 owners using this router.
I checked out the netgear forums and found this.
It turns out that the bluetooth signal from the PS3 controller results in massive packet losses in the wireless signal. The solution - play your PS3 with the controller plugged into the USB port.
I tried it just a minute ago and I got into a KZ2 server straight away with no issues to speak of.
Who would of thought that a pissy little controller signal could result in something so big?
Also, I have to give credit to Insomniac games. Both the Resistance games ran flawlessly with all of these issues going on. They know how to make a good netcode - you could probably play R:FoM with dial up.
I have a huge cord which came with the HDMI cable I got, so it won't be too much of a pain in the ass playing with it plugged in.
I might be able to play in the clan event tonight, depending on how long the F1 GP goes for.
Happiness personified.
802.11b and 802.11g use the 2.4 GHz ISM band, operating in the United States under Part 15 of the US Federal Communications Commission Rules and Regulations. Because of this choice of frequency band, 802.11b and g equipment may occasionally suffer interference from microwave ovens, cordless telephones and Bluetooth devices. Both 802.11 and Bluetooth control their interference and susceptibility to interference by using spread spectrum modulation. Bluetooth uses a frequency hopping spread spectrum signaling method (FHSS) while 802.11b/g use the direct sequence spread spectrum signaling (DSSS) and orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) methods respectively.
In a continuing effort to provide support for Killzone 2 Online, and to show you day-1 fans of Killzone that we mean business, we are very happy to announce the upcoming 1.24 patch. This patch is the biggest one yet, and addresses a large number of reported issues, exploits and bugs - but it also adds new functionality to the game for you to enjoy! I would like to highlight the fact that we are adding 3 new ranks to the game, reached at 5000, 10000 and 100000 points respectively. These ranks do not give any rewards but it allows the real hardcore players to show off their hard work to everyone in-game! Other highlights include a new 17-24 player search game filter, enlarged HUD radar distance and a much requested “Join Clan Member” tab in the join game screen. The patch also allows you to play against the next batch of contenders: Japan, who will be able to buy their copies of Killzone 2 on the 23rd of April and will be joining the community online.
Today we can also confirm that “Steel & Titanium Pack” will be available on the PlayStation Store next week (April 30th) for $5.99.
Same here.Saboteur ftw!
