It's thing's like this which piss me off to death about the swans!

Having just missed the finals for the first time in seven years, the Swans will be hit as hard as anyone by the changing AFL landscape. They appear to be heading on a downward path at exactly the wrong time. Departing key forwards Barry Hall and Michael O’Loughlin will be missed, although youngster Jesse White has shown great promise and pre-season draft target Daniel Bradshaw will help fill the void. Similarly, Jolly’s exit will be sorely felt, even with the recruitment of other team’s fringe ruckmen Mark Seaby and Shane Mumford. Other premiership players Leo Barry, Jared Crouch and Amon Buchanan have also left, signalling the end of an era, although the positive is the return from Ireland of Tadhg Kennelly. Just as a likely on-field slide is unfortunately timed, the Swans could also feel the crunch off-field as they seek to cement support ahead of Western Sydney’s introduction.

So Who else wants to put these critics to bed again and shove it up their arse! Bring on 2010!

What I didn't understand about that article was that the author seemed to be schizophrenic and yet still got a job. S/he writes a piece of evidence about why the Swans will slide but then counters it with evidence of why we won't.

I actually reckon Mumford could explode onto the scene for us... a little more hesitant about Seaby/McGlynn/Kennedy, but I've got a feeling about Mumford.

Personally I'm the opposite and instead think McGlynn will explode onto the scene, Seaby will just do his job- nothing special and Kennedy and Mumford will have good seasons but will have their breakout years in 2011. I think they still need a bit more development :thumbsu:

I reckon McGlynn is the best bet to give the most immediate impact for us. Will take up a tagging/HFF role and is well suited to how we normally play. Ive seen quite a bit of him the last few years and i really liked the look of him before we were rumoured to be interested in him. Really surprised me that the Hawks were willing to let him go so readily. Mumford i am very confident will be our number one ruckman by the end of the year, injuries holding off and what not, however.

I am so used to these kind of articles now, the fun and joy i get from seeing us prove them wrong has begun to decrease somewhat as the writers of the articles are never called on them when we prove them wrong, if you know what i mean. So we never get to see the dropkicks admit that they dont know what they are talking about....wait what am i saying, the pleasure i'll get from seeing us prove the doubters will never decrease. It's what this era has been all about!
