I was reading Rohan Connolys write up about Hawthorn player and general nobody Mark Williams and his choking gesture.
He referred to his previously ridiculous shotgun gestures when he used to get some regular goals several years ago and also a gesture with two arms outwards.
What was that actual gesture with the two arms?I recall something about it but not sure.

Ignoring the trolling because I'm still happy from the victory on the weekend, Willo has his two daughters' names tattooed on his forearms and he holds them up to show them. Presumably pointing out that he's playing for them.

He will be able to bow to the honking cars around the boundary line next season out in the sticks somewhere:rolleyes:

I just remembered Westhoff's "chainsaw" was last year. Haha. In all seriousness I think Treadrea will be playing SAFL next year together with Lade.

How can it be trolling?I was asking a serious question.
If that is the case that it is his girls name I can not see what controversy Connolly was on about. Thanks for part of your assistance.

Not sure about the gesture, and I agree with Robo, who cares. But if you care the Club has come out strongly about it and now its just the media crap about it starting with Patrick Smith this morning (he will probably call for the hawks to be closed down).

On Willo apart from this, I think you will find he is averaging 2.6 goals a game this year which is down on his average of 3+ for the last 3 years when he was kicking " regular goals". The problem is that only 13 guys are kicking more " regular goals" then he, and 2 of those (first and fourth best) are his team mates!

Hes doing fine, just need to get rid of the gestures!

Whilst the gesture was a touch overboard, it's good to see players still playing with character and emotion. A team of 22 robots would be boring as batshit.

We will never know but I bet the Port players were sledging the Hawks about last years game when they kicked 2 goals in the last minute... I'm tipping they were the ones that brought up the choking... Just Willo had the last laugh.. thats all!

Clarko did it beatifully in the presser... got on the front foot before any of the media had a chance to ask any loaded questions.

Yeah get over it....at the same ground last year, treadrea gave the

'shove it up your arse' gesture to the hawks cheersquad after they sealed the game.

(Fist up an under horizontal forearm)

It was far more innapropriate, and dare I say it....williams has been kicking more goals than tredrea has. He is the real nobody.

The choke gesture (while true) was totally inappropriate. Im sure Hawthorn would be just as good without that little smartass in the forward line, so I think he should pull his arrogant little head in before he finds himself either unemployed or unconscious.

Not bad Port fans getting upset at Williams. You can't get more obnoxiuos and arrogant than Chad or Warren. At least Chad can back it up on the park.

Williams has been watching to much Jerry Maguire i.e. try and be flashy on the field to get noticed by the sponsors. I love players that respond from the heart and with true emotion when they do something good (i.e. see Aussie Wonnaeamirri)....not smart arse dipshits who think they are above everyone else and carry out pre-planned crap that makes people watching the game want to vomit into their beers..........what a tosser

Hello ,hello out there
It was the arms out gesture Connolly mentioned that I was more interested in.
The choking gesture stuck it up the Port crowd at the time but pretty trivial really.Clarkson is the one that over reacted.

Are you suggesting that Williams is being crucified,
OR
He isn't the Messier, he's just a naughty boy!

Messiah maybe? This is Messier

and Williams will have to have a massive career to catch up to him.

As for the gesture... why is it such a big deal?

He's a very good player, but very annoying. I'm continually amazed that such a feminine little prick can be a consistently good AFL player.

If he is a "faminine little prick" as you put it, what does that say about Dustin Fletcher, as I have vivid memories of the 6 foot williams throwing fletcher (what 6'4 or is it more like 6'6?) around like a rag doll and absolutely giving him a bath.

The gesture was wrong, the guy is fine! Slow news day/week.
