Ur an Adelaide supporter, surely u realise that Adelaide are playing Collingwood at the Telstra Dome on Friday night. It will be the pies 3rd game at the TD this year, and Adelaide's 4th............yet supposedly is a Collingwood home game??

We had to travel to play Adelaide at home, yet u blokes dont play us at our home ground.

The fact we play lots of games at the G is because we have neutral games against teams like Richmond, Melbourne, Essendon, Carlton at the G......where else do you suggest those 8 games are played???

i started readng that with optimisims, but u killed after saying they were lucky to draw u away from home. its usual on collingwoods part, get a away game in victoria. adelaide deserve the favouritism. the crows killed the lions they deserve the favouritism. if the pies play like they do noirmally have all seaons the crows will win .

??

Never mentioned Lucky, what were u reading??

I said the pies played Adelaide at their home ground, and we smashed em, but they dont play us at ours!

People harp on about Collingwood playing games at the G, 8 of them are the neutral games against Carlton, Ess, Rich, Melb.....4 of them pies home games, 4 away games......we have another 7 home games so based on that should play at the G 15 times!!

Pies beat Sydney, if we were playing at the G pies would be very warm favourites, but will be 50/50 because of the TD.

"All you people (in the media) were trying to make a big story out of what I said last week, but all I said was people could get injured, they could get suspended, they could get sick, all of a sudden it happened this week," Williams said after today's win.
"I wasn't talking mind games ... all I said is nothing's for certain and until you actually get to the finals you still have to play them and that's a fact and it's still the case."
Williams said today's match was finals-like, but noted the importance of Geelong's absentees.
"We always thought we were a good chance, obviously they had a couple of gun players out, which made it somewhat easier for us," he said.

Nothing much wrong with any of the above.
He's just telling it like it is.
Port to win the Flag.
Well done! At last instead of the whinging from idiots who can't listen with an open mind finally we get the mans actual words. Nothing wrong with that surely!

My god, I thought he must have bagged the whole Geelong organisation to hear the outrage from the fools.

Question for people here: why even bother responding to PUSSIES_07_FLAG? Really he is just a complete waste of time. By all means argue all day if you want but I don't see why anyone would want to waste time on such a complete troll. Whatever you think just don't go hating Geelong and their supporters because he/she is a dimwit. I have no problem with Port's win or what Williams has said I applaud them.

Love chocco really adds spice to the game. Especially at press conferences which are enjoyable to listen to, especially compared to monotone thompson.

You do!

I know we do because teams like Geelong and the Kangas play their home game against us at the G.

Im not complaining, it just gets tiring hearing people whinge and moan about the pies getting a massive advantage by playing all these games at the G.......but do they actually realise that 8 of them are neutral games against Ess, Carl, Rich, Melb.

Trolling??

Choco is funny as and if wasn't for coaches like him having a dig sometimes clubs like Collingwood would get even more benefits!!

Regardless of how its spun, imagine if Port the crows or the Eagles could play 15 games at their home ground out of 22! Collingwood should be top two every year. There should be an inquiry into this bias.
Re Choco: doing the Williams dynasty proud.

Games on your home ground in front of tens of thousands of your own fans are not 'neutral'. Get a clue.

pretty ballsy win by Port today, and Choco's post-match press conference merely reflected that; he stuck by his (quite reasonable) pre-game words, fairly pointed out that the Cats had a couple out (even went so far as to label them 'guns') .. nothing at all wrong with any of that, Port earnt the points on the day, and good coaching from Choco to put Geelongs streak into perspective for his players and the rest of the comp.
The Cats are on notice, but better (for Cats fans) they stumble now than later on .. could be the proverbial wake-up call, Geelong have been playing within themselves for a few weeks now, time to stop flirting with the form and get back on the tackle bags during the week. Kudos Choco and Port. :thumbsu:

Choco is a pig of a man.

Look forward to facing his mob in the finals.

Today Port carried on like they wont the flag. Glorified scratch match for Geelong and we almost snatched it.

try telling that to your fans then who were at the ground ..... they were celebrating (high fives all round, i know i was at the ground) like they had won a final when they hit the front late in the last quarter....

Good press conference...winners are grinners especially after an away win in a 1 v 2 game this close to finals.

The entire footy world seems to have gone so damn conservative these days that if u show emotion or passion...even if u simply goad the opposition ...there's always a bunch of killjoys and fun nazi's ready to call u a knob.

PASSION is what drives footy and unlike others Williams isnt the type to hide it...its refreshing to see.

Williams can rightly feel proud and play up to the media as he sees fit. His list has well and truly outperformed expectations this year and are defying those (including myself) that felt they couldnt hold onto a top 4 spot at the business end until the list matured a little more.

They have secured 2nd spot and a home final first up. Williams has good reason to feel smug and every right to show the emotion that understandably comes from feeling proud of the job he and his list have done so far this year.

Choco > Malthouse.
While I am far from the biggest Malthouse fan around I don’t quite know how you can back this one up. Head to head I’d say MM has all the important wins. Port won a flag and Collingwood lost 2 grand finals. MM has 2 flags to his credit though. Personally I’d happily replace Malthouse at Collingwood but Williams would be a long way from my first choice even though he is a former captain of the club.

The home ground issue is related to home crowd support and having to get on and off planes (and travel)... and fatigue.

The fact we play lots of games at the G is because we have neutral games against teams like Richmond, Melbourne, Essendon, Carlton at the G......where else do you suggest those 8 games are played???
I don't think there is anything else that can be done .... unfortunately some wise ones in SA media cant understand this. Thats being said it has to also be understood that having to jump on a plane every second week is an issue for teams outside of victoria - and Choco was highlighting his last two weeks were going to be an issue for preparation due to travel, and when they land back in Adelaide etc.

I was more interested in his pre game comments re Mooney ... most of his comments pre-game were pretty generic and applied to all sides, but he did mention Mooney twice - once in relation to being one hit away from a holiday, and again, when he mentioned that he really rated Mooney and had tried to lure him to Alberton, but that the deal had fell through at the last minute.

Today Mooney had a pretty quite and uninfluencial game. (although Chocos comments may well have had nothing to do with it)

Starting the far jokes? thats really mature.

Wouldn't have called it a fat joke.....more of an observation. Laughter broke out in the pub i was at when he came down on the field after the game. Probably should stick to wearing the suit and tie from 2004 GF......much more slimming.
