Player #16 - Tomas Bugg

Tomas Bugg is known mostly for two things - missing a 'h' in his first name, and belting a kid behind play:
This year Bugg played a measly three games, coinciding with Melbourne being good again after his 10 game season last year (cut short by a six week suspension for the hit on Mills, although DanWA will soon be along to say he only meant to get him in the chest).
In one of his games this year Bugg kicked four goals against North Melbourne, which underlined why nobody thinks North will do much damage in September in the near future (although he did have 5 clangers in that game from 16 touches). In the other two games Bugg was about as prominent as a gummy smile in a Collingwood cheer-squad photo. If he didn't constantly make a goose of himself on and off field he'd be completely forgotten.
There was the time he called out JJ (a Norm Smith medallist) on instagram with his good mate Jack "T&S" Watts:

Or the time he was fined in 2016 for pushing Jack Riewoldt after Jack was already injured. He later apologised that game for his stupid post-goal celebration (seriously). In essence, Buggs is Jason Akermanis with less verbal ability and none of the talent.
Previous to his time with Melbourne he was at GWS where he was involved in MRP incidents every few weeks and earned a reputation as a 'niggler', as well as being involved in the last head-knock Jonathan Brown would receive (he immediately retired on medical advice), a dodgy bump on Kieran Jack described by Tony Shaw as 'pretty ordinary' and a collision with Nick Riewoldt which forced medicos to take Nick to the vet for scans.
Of course, being an ex-GWS boy he obviously made it to Carlton this year after the Demons cut him from their list. Clearly he's the kind of guy you want a young developing list learning from.
Pictured: A better teacher than Bugg
Any. Anyway Tomas I'm sure Carlton will do the right thing by you and give you a chance to qualify for next years' list. In the meantime welcome to the Bottom 50 for 2018.
