Pretty obvious nominee this round, Dylan Clarke keeping Cripps to 11 possessions (2 kicks 9 handballs) and winning a heap of the footy himself.
Any others a chance? Stack perhaps? Oskar Baker? Noah Answorth?

Clarke absolutely smashed Cripps. Kept him to his lowest possession game since he broke his leg in round 16 2017. Injury free, it's the lowest he's had since his first season in 2014.

Plus Clarke picked up 23 touches himself, along with 6 clearances and game high 10 tackles. Beast of an effort.

Will be Zak Butters, touch and go enough with Clarke to give it to Butters on body of work.

19 disposals, 14 effective, 10 contested, 3 goal assists, 10 score involvements, 2 goals, 2 marks, 3 tackles, 3 inside 50’s, 1 clanger

Dylan Clarke and Stack had excellent games as well but when it’s pretty tight they usually look at body of work and the result.

Don't see Clarke getting it in his first game of the year at Round 11. Will go to somebody with runs on the board.

Stack or Butters for mine. Both were quite good statistically, but both also had more impact on the game than their stats suggested.

Clarke, a 2nd gamer kept Cripps to 11 touches?? wow, thats a significant performance - I'd give it to him. Unreal

Agree that Clarke is the likely choice, Butters and Stack also worthy choices who are due for a nom.

Answerth had a nice game but not to the level of others this round.

There's still 12 nominations to be had. Way too early to discount the clear best performance by a rookie. Body of work should become more prominent in the last 5 to 6 weeks.

Butters torched some witches hats, Clarke took on the #1 clearance midfielder in the league and smashed him

This.

Lets be realistic in Clarke's role he won't do that every week. Stack won't get it this week but will get plenty of chances in a side that's in the top 4. Butters is similar, will get 20 odd possessions again next week.

You'd think it would be one of the following:

Sydney Stack - 24 disposals, 5 marks, 4 tackles
Luke Davies Uniacke - 21 disposals, 2 marks, 2 tackles
Jordan Clark - 20 Disposals, 4 marks, 1 goal
Noah Answerth - 14 disposals, 4 marks
Oskar Baker - 21 disposals, 7 marks, 3 tackles
Zac Butters - 19 disposals, 2 marks, 2 tackles, 2 goals
Dylan Clarke - 23 disposals, 4 marks, 10 tackles while tagging Cripps.

Reckon its a 2 horse race between Clarke & Stack this week.
