You can make a case of Port Falling to 9th to 12th with 10 or 11 wins just like Cats did in 2023 after winning the premiership in 2022.

Rise: Collingwood - Imagine how good they'll be if they can get players who can keep Billy Frampton out of the 23

Fall: Collingwood's ressies - Bringing in some fringe KPD doesn't improve the team. Sure, they'll be entertaining to watch as they might have the best midfield in the league, but with the worst forward and backline. They'll struggle to accomplish anything. Shouldn't have re-signed their coach.

Not sure I’ve seen a fringe player have so much of a mental impact on a fan of another club before.

Hopefully, for your health Elliot Himmelberg doesn’t get traded and also become a premiership player.

I don't see us not improving as long as Lynch is relatively fit. If GWS and Saints can improve drastically under a new coach and gameplan, I don't see why we can't? Riewoldt and Cotchin won't be missed outside of a leadership perspective. If anything, we'll be more balanced without Cotchin in the side and Riewoldt's opponent was often dominant.

The Eagles likely improve their % in 2024 and less floggings but won't improve enough to leap up the ladder.

Not having a senior coach lose the players and walk out mid-season is a good starting point.

Having Lynch back would also improve us considerably. Even Kosi should compete better than Riewoldt did for most of the season. Gibcus and Tylar Young have huge scope for improvement, plus the other 4 drafted inside pick 30 two years ago - Banks, Clarke, Sonsie and Brown. Samson Ryan should be just about ready to step up. Balta could be one of the best KPDs in the comp if Yze sorts out the team defense. Taranto and Hopper should be better in their 2nd season.

There's plenty of scope for improvement but the major ones will be Lynch plus a gameplan that suits the current group, not the one that suited our list 6 years ago.
