Eltham v South Morang. Only 1 car came and well after the pushing and grandstanding by a few that may have had one or two too many of the old loudmouth soup.....all crowds have interesting charactors.....some more than others.
It's a sh!t look but I did see and hear some very interesting comments and sledges throughout the day. It actually amazes me why some go to the footy if they are going to act like that, it's a game of local footy FFS and a dead rubber game. We want to keep local footy going and with the day being nice there were kids and families everywhere and a few nuffnuffs have to get their frustrations out for all to see how awesome they are. There were issues all day, 3/4 time of the magoos, 1/4 of the seniors, end of game......all a real sh!t look by real sh!t people.

Some things never change.
All clubs do have them but good clubs do what they can to stop the behaviour. It's a badge of honour for those at Lakes bvd unfortunately and will only improve if those in charge want change. I'm not sure they do.

League need to come down hard on these instances (if they can) where police are called.
Div 1 and Div 3 games had police called for crown behaviour/incidents. Not good enough.

Agree mate. Clubs need to step in and make sure that anyone who is part of their club and a ratbag then they either pull their head in are are not welcome. Clubs are the ones who can create a culture that supports your club, but not be violent or dickheads. Get rid of them if they cant do that. It's local footy FFS and some of this weekends incidents need to be taken out of local footy so everyone can enjoy it.

Forecasts have this weekend at Epping looking like an interesting event. Yes, I know it would be the same at Preston.
Think it's time to pay the $15 (cheaper than entry) and stream at home (don't have to pay $9 for a beer) with the fire raging, protection from the elements and access to my own bar.
Actually, it's a lock. Have a huge screen and already around 8 (and possibly growing) people that would go but don't want to travel to Epping so popping in for a great day (yeah, I need another trailer of wood but that's fine)
For those diehards, I do hope it holds off and it's a great day. I know we will enjoy it.

The Div 2 final series looks more enticing if I’m being honest.
High street being closed looks like a disaster.
Hopefully Caulfield and Rosehill can be accessed via the "huge screen"
Such a shame that the crowd will be small up at Epping tomorrow. Very poor viewing from the limited under cover areas too which will hurt if the rain comes in for those who do attend.
Eltham on the other hand has a massive elevated under cover area and you can actually watch the game from the comfort of the social rooms. Difficult to do that at Epping with ground view social rooms staring at the back of peoples heads.
Food for thought moving forward on 13 degree saturdays in winter.
