Need to up the cap if they want 18 game comp.

Why do they need to up the cap?
If they played 18 games it’s an average of $150 a player.
Some will get less and some more.

If your paying more then that in Div 3 you have lost your mind!!

Considering Div 1 is only an average of $250 a player

Interesting happenings at the Mustangs.. The appointment of coaches son-in-law as captain when he hasn’t played regular senior footy in 3 years and the appointment of the coaches best mate as vice captain when he hasn’t even completed a preseason and doesn’t know any of the players names.

Hearing rumblings that the Reservoir boys are getting annoyed. A couple looking at leaving.

Sounds very odd if accurate. Seems like quite a few from Braybrook going there?

I doubt there is many there that would cause sleepless nights for the coaches and committee if they left. Haven’t won a game for 3 years. Change has to happen somewhere. Gregson is more than handy but doubt he will have much impact forward and will have to carry a huge load in the ruck. Good to see the mustangs are working hard to sell there club, Lalor did similar last year. It should be a more even season with margins between teams to close slightly.

Ah well good on them, the fact the can recruit anyone after not winning a game for 3 seasons is good news. Let’s hope the drought breaks.

Unsure, on their FB page there’s three.

Gregson is a gun and the other two didn’t feature too much in the seniors according to sportstg website.

Let's get Braybrook back to where we belong and not worry about what's happening in other comps, good luck to Jason and co and hope it works out for them.

Anyone bewildered at the league making D3 a 18 game comp?

These are the decisions the truely make me question the league?

16 games in d3 is far more appropriate for sometimes more casual footballers not to mention the completely uneven draw? Kilmore on years passed have secured 6 wins before the season has started (maybe that’ll change this year?)

It’s hard enough for many D3 clubs finding numbers as well as the financial strain of a lowered cap and extra games.

Just makes no sense to me.

Assumption would be 6 Fixtured games against the bottom 2?

Better than 18 games with triple ups.

Maybe do 16 with only 2 triple ups ( 1 who made finals last year 1 who didn’t)

But the fixture is poorly done.

I reckon all clubs have planned but as this place is typically full of supporters not club football managers or whomever the information might not be out there yet.

It’s funny because the feedback I’ve had around the traps is 14 games would be borderline ideal after covid.

16 worked well. 18 will simply drag on and with a few struggling clubs will be a real tough year towards the back end.

no byes either. Bad decision by the league IMO
