List Mgmt. NGA, Father son watch

Where was he cleared as eligible? I don’t believe he has been and if you have a link to the afl saying otherwise feel free to post it.

I think you’re basing this off the same articles that assumed he was a father son and haven’t been corrected.

In any case, it will get cleared up eventually, but all evidence says he isn’t a eligible f/s. If you have a rational explanation for how he could be eligible with less than 200 games?

Well there is this from the AFL.

No mention of Keeler in twomey's phantom draft. Maybe just maybe we can get some benefit from the NGA in spite of the new rules.
LOL

You think a player with his attributes is going to go outside the first 40 picks? I think you're being somewhat optimistic. My money would be on us paying full odds and grabbing him with our 2nd pick if he slides through.

That would be a win! Surely with his potential he goes mid teens?

Surely we’d be happy with that though?

My mail is we didn’t rate him at all prior to about May this year , wonder how much he has climbed up our ratings

What a positive story and great to see. Can we entice him back into our defence?
And people here complain about Butts and Murray's kicking etc.
Did you watch him play for Centrals right through the grades?

He's good in the air and is a handy intercept mark but his kicking was very poor. Would need to have done a lot of work to bring that up to AFL standard.

After our recent drafting history I put zero value in our talent identification

GWS seem to have managed it in 9 months to be fair.

I might have missed something, but i thought he was making his debut?

Sure.

Kid that missed out is Jack Slater. He is 15, a midfielder that can also play at either end abs has an astonishing work rate, great kick of the footy and innately aggressive. Plays u16 Div 1 for Sherwood, but also plays QAFL Colts and will feature in finals at both levels.

All Australian Lads from Lions Academy.

Daniel Annabel - strong 15 year old midfielder plays out of Vic Point. Finds plenty of contested footy and uses it well. Great clearance player.

Oscar Barry - 15 year old ruckman from Coorparoo. Good in the air, aggressive and a high workrate. Not a huge kid despite being AllAus ruckman, which is a good sign as it means he can actually play and doesn't rely on size. Won best player of QLD State carnival

Jack Harrison - 15 year old midfielder/half forward. Elite footy IQ, great hands, good decision maker and loves the contested stuff. Hits up at the footy beautifully when playing fwd and finds plenty of footy on the ball. Father played 200+ SANFL games and I think was on Crows list, but didn't get a game. Plays at Sherwood.

Harrison Bridge - half back / wing. Still only 14. He won player of the national carnival. Elite penetrating left foot kick, good gooty IQ. He's an outside player, but gets into good positions and can break open a game with his disposal and run from half back. Also plays at Sherwood.
Just quoting a recent post from the Lions' Academy thread which talks about a Qld junior player Jack Harrison who was AA at the recent U15 School Sports Championship (which SA won and Qld were runners-up) and who is apparently in the Lions Academy but whose "father played 200+ SANFL games and I think was on the Crows list".

Is it possible we've got a father-son prospect up in Brisbane? Who has first dibs if he is also in the Lions Academy? Does anyone know anything about this kid or his father for that matter? Intriguing situation...

Edit: could it be this guy in which case he's aligned to Port Adelaide but probably wouldn't quality for them as a father-son as I don't think he meets the games requirement.

Depends when those 200 SANFL game were played and if it was at multiple clubs or just the one can only be Norwood, Glenelg, South or Sturt between 1970 and 1990

Bailey Scott was a father/son for both Geelong and North Melbourne as well as a Gold Coast Academy player...He chose the Roos

Nick Blakey was a father/son for both the Roos and the Lions (Fitzroy) as well as Sydney Academy, he chose Sydney.

Personal choice.
