GC turned up ready to play and Carlton were just way off the pace. Still think Carlton will wake up to themselves now at Qtr time and game should even out a bit.

Dew has GC raring to go, very impressive so far. Carlton's entries into F50 have been horrendous, worst I've seen since Leppa years up here.

Only last week plenty of us on here were lauding Carlton's young talent as leagues ahead of ours and the envy of the entire league. Just another lesson in the importance of balance and perspective instead of reactivity and emotion.

Not even suggesting off this performance that Carlton's list isn't that, or that they won't go on to win this game - just saying that claims like it rarely prove accurate when made on the basis of limited viewing.

Just thinking the same thing, trying to watch day games at Etihad on TV is pretty difficult when you can’t see a third of the field.

Really impressed by Gold Coast's tackling. They seem to be sticking their tackles most times which just makes an enormous difference in terms of applying pressure. Would love to see us tackling with similar intensity and execution. Broken tackles have killed us in recent years.

Murphy continues to be utterly ineffectual as a leader. They need to look elsewhere.
