A Furious Revenge

Round 2. Coming off a hard fought win over the Bombers in round 1, the Furies were buoyed with a level of confidence not seen since the heady days of (checks notes)... moving on. While the Rats had started their premiership defence with a shock loss at the hands of the Royals - at home. Surely they will come out all guns blazing in this game?

This game was one for the ages. It was a fast, high possession, high risk game by both sides, resulting in lots of goals and crazy Dream Team scores. The Rats got out of the blocks early, with first quarter multiple goals to ant555 and Power Raid. The second term was a much closer affair, with Sterge and GotTheGoodes going toe to toe in the middle, and each snagging a goal to boot.

The Sweet FA has launched an investigation into what the Furies are putting in their Powerade bottles because after half time JackBero (37 disposals, 8 tackles and a goal) and Sterge (40 - yes FOUR-ZERO - disposals, 2 goals) ran riot in the middle. Both are currently being attended by the medicos for leather poisoning. ant555 (32 disposals, 8 tackles, 3.2 goals) and GotTheGoodes (33 disposals) battled hard but were overrun for long spells.

Edmund hunt kicked 5 straight for the Furies. GremioPower snagged 4 of his own for the Swampies, but the Furies 13 individual goal scorers laid the foundations for a 37-point victory in a cracking 36-goal game.
