I have nothing against Grant Stevens , in fact i think he’s been an excellent police commissioner, but it’s really hard to understand the skills matrix strategy that AFC have for their Board composition.

I get that Balme is really the Roo replacement which makes sense but what value do we get in having 2 police commissioners on the board? How does there skill set vary enough to warrant that?

Gallagher is having a fair bit of input into the football side as well given his previous role at St Kilda

My general life experience is suffering through a club that hasn't won a flag in nearly 30 years.

Having enough 'non-football' people on a board allows those with footy experience to maintain control. It's a classic Roo tactic.

I think he is there for his profile and maybe media management but his skillset is actually fairly limited. He may have been useful with the Thebarton negotiation but that's all done

He is allowed to have interests outside of work but surprised given the current state of SAPOL that all his energy isn't going into that.
