Arguably the 2 best CHFs going around.
Providing they never got injured again (Brown especially!), which player would you take and why?
If your a freo or lions supporter, then you must provide a post with reasoning as to why your player is better! (unless you choose other one of course)

ROFL this thread is a joke, hey?

Pavlich by so far that it isnt funny

hahahahahahahahahahhaahhahaahha.....

brown will be as good as carey at the end of his career, pavlich is a star but will just be another GOOD chf at the end of his career

The key line is "Providing they never got injured again" - If you could be assured that Brown would be healthy until the end of his career, you would HAVE to take him.

Pavlich: Younger, no injury concerns, super versatile
Brown: Better CHF when fit, but rarely fit

Both are great players, if I could be guaranteed that Brown would stay fit, than I'd have to choose him, but ATM I would choose Pavlich because of him having rarely missed a game since debuting and his great versatility.

Sorry mate but you got a spelling mistake there.

Brown by so far that it isnt funny

There you go, i fixed it up for ya :thumbsu::D
Well from what we've seen of pavlich is far from his best IMO, like he had an injury all of last year.
So id have to lean towards brown when he is fit.
Having said that, i would never trade pavlich for anyone, as i think he WILL be better than brown starting from this year.
Just watch..Pav will kick around 80 goals and will be up there in the brownlow count as well, although he probably wont win

Brown = Overrated
Yep, easily the most overated player player in the competition bar none...

Has no individual honours, i.e. Not one AA, no Brownlow, no B/F, no AFLPA MVP, no Rising Star, no Norm Smith Medal, no coleman medal

Yet by how much he's talked up you'd think he'd cured cancer, won 5 premierships singlehandely, has 3 Brownlows, a couple of Colemans and a Norm Smith Medal for good measure

Furthermoe, the games that he has played well in have been against poor teams, Hawthorn, Essendon, Freo [before the mid year break when they were playing crap], Essendon again and Port, hardly the powerhouses of the competition

In fact all Jono Brown has to show so far in his career is been a player in one of the best teams in history, of which he wasn't in their top 10 players

Voss
Black
Lappin
Aker
Power
Leppitch
Michael
Lynch
Johnson
Johnson were all ahead of him

Pavlich by so much it's not funny + he's younger than Brown [Brown turns 26 this year...he's not as young as some make him out to be]

There's still the tribunal. Pavlich.

Pavlich is more versatile but Brown is a better CHF. Do you know a CHF who could dominate the Brownlow votes like he did? Not even the two greatest CHFs, Carey and Hart, would have been able to poll like J Brown did.

Brown will turn 26 but that will be after the season has ended. Pavlich is only two months younger. Those posts who say that Pavlich is better because he is younger are making it sound like that there is a two-year age gap, not two months.

correct me if im wrong but brown played on the ball against the bombers (i think it might've been last year, not sure) at carrara and had 27 odd disposals....he is very versatile

Thank you for pointing out the facts people have been ignoring for the past few years.

Pavlich, he's been so consistent for the past 5 years or so...and while Brown is awesome when he gets going, what has he shown in terms of consistency? Dominate a handful of games and then get injured/suspended and miss half the season? The ONLY real honours he has to his name are the 3 premierships but as someone correctly pointed out he was something of a passenger in those teams, I'd like to revisit this poll after Brown puts together a full season (yes I know the poll says "barring injuries" but we don't really have anything to judge Brown by do we?), but at this stage it's Pavlich...absolute superstar, if I could choose 1 CHF to be at WCE it'd be Pav

Jonathan Brown by a fair margin. Pavlich is a gun but he will never kick 8 or 9 goals to win a game of his own boot like Brown has done in the past. If Brown can put 2 or 3 injury free years together before his career is over he will go down as second fiddle only to Carey. Don't forget he was a focul point in a premiership side at the age of 21.

As this poll states ignoring injuries, I cannot see how anyone would take Pav over Brown. Brown is an out and out gun. If you were to take injuries into account then it would be close, but as it is not, Brown by some margin for me.

I voted Brown. Brown is a key position CHF, where as Pavlich can play all around the ground and if i remember correctly he does a lot of his pre season with the midfielders. Pav is more a utility in my books. mind you they both would be handy if i were picking a side!
