Yep.

There's 1 premiership between 18 clubs. If your club is an average performing club you can expect to see maybe 4-5 premierships in your lifetime. If your club is a below average performing club (such as Port) then you'll be lucky to see 2.

So essentially, clubs can't realistically sell actual success. They are in the business of selling hope. We have no hope because we've seen the same thing over and over again for more than a decade. It needs to change.

Carlton have been selling hope for close on 25 years.
Still they have a record number members this year over 100,000
Even on there website they say it’s not what happens on the ground it’s all about the match day experience
Bottom line sadly for the smuck supporters is clubs don’t give a toss about winning, it’s all about $$$$.
It’s almost like 18 religions all offering hope and an afterlife so join up and you will win also.
It’s basically all BS.
