Come on people. It was so predictable Geelong would travel up there shit after playing a hard game against us, weather conditions and missing half a dozen class players.

It doesn’t need to erode what we did last week.

Games Geelong has lost by 60+pts since Chris Scott took over in 2011

That was Scott's 319th game and 99th loss inc finals and a win % of 68%, and he has lost a hell of a lot of his by only 12 pts or less. My quick count is 35 and about another dozen between 13 and 18 pts.

Not often you hit the 100 point mark & still get done by 10 goals
Not many examples in this century in the AFL.

Used to be common in the non full time professional era be it in the AFL or VFL or SANFL or WAFL.

Did Joel Sellwood just accuse Chris Scott of "biting the pillow"?

Kick 15.10 and get done by more than ten goals, wow, just wow, not often we witness a 41 goal game. are Geelong cooked, don't think so if they can kick 15 goals, are Gold coast amazing, WTF knows. not sure what to make of it.

I stopped watching at half time, surprised Geelong scored 100 points.

Their defence was in disarray without Dekoning. They haemorrhaged goals.

Tipped Geelong. I think GC are still a myth.
Geelong are a myth. Won't make top 4. If they didn't have the unique and unfair advantage of playing other Vic clubs on their own dungheap but also not travelling any more than the other Vic sides do, might not even make the 8.

they kicked 3 goals when gc had put the queue in the rack with less than 5 minutes to go. they did kick 4 vs gc's 6 before that.

I knew your question would bug me. I went to australianfootball.com site, hit the AFL tab and then on RHS it has a Games Record drop down button and you can search stats by 18 different criteria.

I figure searching by Biggest Match Aggregates and results of 260pts or more shouldn't take too long and there should be a few examples since Rd 1 2000, ie the fulltime professional era.

Edit I found 14 examples in the 1990's with about a dozen almosts of either a) both teams kicking 100+pts, but the margin was a few points short of 60pts, or b) one of the teams was just short of 100pts.

Tom Stewart didn't even take a single mark last night 😬
Jed's defensive pressure was so good that it's carried over to this week. Either that or what he did last week wasn't actually that amazing.

Nah, fair play, im not Jed's biggest fan either but he had a good game last week, even if the stats don't tell it. Stewart normally kills us and is a gun player. It's kind of remarkable he didn't take one mark last night though. Especially when the ball was down in the Suns forward line so much.

So I missed the ending, did Hardwick clap his hands and jump around at the end like Kenny?

Good win by the suns and like others have said they belted them and kept going, I don’t feel like I’ve seen a Port team do that in a long time even if you’ve got the game won.

You can also see why the bigger VIC clubs don’t get those trips being as they hard work, it’s like a reverse advantage. Scott would of hated it.
