Franklin may have kicked 9 goals, but i liked Ryder's performance on him and think that it was a great experience for him for the future =)
I onli got to watch the first half =(
Also at the start of the game we played with agression.

We didn't lose by 100.

The youngins: Myers, Pears, Houli, Ryder, Jetta, Lonergan etc

Showed signs (first half) that we're heading in the right direction.

Lucas.

Myers looked good at getting his own ball, and his kicking was again first rate. Looking forward to a long career at Essendon for him!

Positives were the first half.

We actually matched them and should probably have had a lead. Ran out of puff and steam in the second.

Stanton continues to develop other parts of his game.

Houli is coming along nicely.

Winderlich starting to get back into form. Stood up really well in contests.

Stanton: Finally starting to do some good defensive stuff, although he stills needs to work on his decision making.

Houli: Will be a 200+ game player. He is so cool under pressure.

Lucas: Kicked 3 goals and looks to be getting some form back.

Winderlich: Has shown he can play as a dangerous forward.

Fletcher: Back into some good form and rebounding very well from defense.

McPhee: Although he still makes some simple mistakes has shown he has the motor and marking ability to play across half forward.

Myers: Show once again that he will be a great player as he has good skills and great decision making.

Monfries: Was dangerous in the forward line and ripped Birchal a new one.

Welsh: Did a great tagging job on Mitchell.

Didn't see the game. What were the postives?

The bombers demonstraited they can match it with any team doing the little objectives; Maning up, tackling hard and chasing. If they could do it for four qtrs i reckon they had a few more win this season.

They been lucky not to have a few reports on file now.....yet

They have some good younsters to build he next generation around and a couple of good seniors to teach them.

Jetta, Ryder, Laycok, reimers, Monferies, Hillie, Pears, Nash and Houli's.

The one negative to stick in my mind, the coachs call to wind down the clock with a minute to go in the first quarter, when the bombers had all the momentuim.

Great pick up PP.. I thought that he tackled as well as he has in any game previously. I personally thought that this was one of his best game for the club. His intensity both offensive and defensive stood out to me.

I also felt that Henry had a very good game (bracing myself for criticism:))

I also liked what I saw from Winders. I have not been his biggest fan and have been frustrated by his lack of return over quite a few years on the list but he was very good in this game. I liked his effort in the 3rd quarter in our forward 50 where he ripped the ball loose, beat a few tackles and tried to break away from pack. Got caught holding the footy but loved the intent:thumbsu:

I thought henry played good aswell. What impressed me the most was his marking ability. A few times there was a dodgy kick on his head and he used his body well and has strong hands.

bellchambers did next to nothing.. but I was still happier to see that than give laycock a run.. with paddy needed in defence for buddy.

i thought bellchambers tried to make space and showed good intent.. hopefully will keep growing/filling out and developing..
