POTY
5. Vince - Elite, no arguments about it. Was targeted by those dirty Essendon snipers, took it manfully and ****ing dominated. Inspirational game.
4. Mcleod - Still playing like he's 21. Superstar of the history of the game.
3. Tippett - Should have had 5 goals, gave 100% and is the player we've been crying out for for 12 years.
2. Maric - Granted he didn't have an opponent, but boy did he make it count!
1. Symes - Showed a couple of Essendon ********s what hardness is. If he played at Port he'd be high up in their B & F this year.

BTM
3. Vince - Courage to get back up, keep going and dominate and then tell that ******** McVeigh where to get off.
2. Sellar - Possibly the hardest trying footballer in the squad.
1. Porplyzia - Phenomenal pressure inside forward 50, 5 goals, gun.

ROTY
3. Dangerfield - Will be elite, Looks like a young Roo
2. Sellar - The last two weeks are actually putting voices in my head that he may end up being the player we all always wished he'd be.
1. Otten - Didn't set a foot wrong, it's not his fault the ball barely got near him! :p

:p

No way he would be top 5 in their B & F... he wouldn't even get a game. He's far too hard for Chocko

5. Vince- Showed what real tough is versus "fake" tough
4. Macca- The man is one of the greats!
3. Porps- Last 5 weeks have been sensational
2. Tippett- Would have kicked 10 if Inspector Gadget hadn't played. I would imagine Flech would be the only defender in the league with the reach to go with Tippett and our boy toweled him up
1. Maric- Thanks Matty Knights. More confidence in the big fella is pure gold!

TTM:

3. Bernie- Stood up to the snipers
2. Symes- Has no regard for his body
1. Sellar- put his head over the ball more than once. Paid the price, but came back

ROTY

3. Danger- Went into the middle in the last and got nealry every clearance
2. Otten
1. Sellar- was actually concerned that we couldn't cover him when he looked so groggy!

POTY:
5. Vince - gun! nuff said. his clearance work was fantastic.
4. McLeod - Mr September and still a superstar at 33.
3. Porplyzia - 5 goals and great forward pressure and tackling.
2. Tippett - Fletcher owned him last year with his inspector gadget arms, but my goodness, has Tippett evolved so much since then; 4 goals and great work in the ruck and on the ground.
1. Maric - sure it's easy when there's no opponent, but he took full advantage of it; plus a great goal.

BTM:
3. Vince - took a sniper to the ribs and came back stronger than ever.
2. Symes - goes in hard every time; tackles ferociously every time; just love watching him play.
1. Sellar - coming back on after a knee to the face is one thing, but to still contribute to the team effort was absolutely fantastic to see; and great goal to cap it off; he deserved it.

ROTY
3. Dangermouse - his clearance work in the middle was a beauty to witness; plus 2 goals.
2. Otten - solid in defence as per usual; has some real class and often looks to have all the time in the world.
1. Sellar - his best AFL game so far.

I'll have a serve of these too thanks. :) :thumbsu:

I am a little surprised though that no-one's mentioned anywhere Doughty's restraining job on Essendon's best mid-fielder in Watson, who can be a match-winner. Doughty ended up with 18 touches to Watson's 14. :thumbsu:

POTY

5. Vince- they threw everything at him, showed he can mix it with the worst.
Pure class
4. Tippet-Incredible talent. Ask Fletcher!

3. Mcleod- Who is this young gun ? seems like a likely type!

2. Sellar- stats aren`t everything but for a young man to come back from what looked like a smashed jaw to compete (although a little hazy) against a team that were desperate to finish their season with dignity speaks volumes.
Love his attitude!!

1. Otten-Thought he would be the week link in the finals, How wrong was I?

BTM

3. Vince- Do your worst Essendon
2. Stevens- unsung but covers well for Bock.
1. Edwards- Center clearances were very important when needed.

ROY

3.Sellar- showed guts tonight!! Here to stay.
2. Otten- Very classy in defense.
1. Danger- Very damaging.

POTY
5. Vince - After waking up to my radio on SEN and having Andy Maher question Bernie's appearing in the AA squad. SUCK MY FAT **** MAHER!
4. Mcleod - Fantastic. Who doesn't love seeing him run and carry?
3. Tippett - Effort in the air and on the ground is an unmatched combo. Will commit crimes to keep him.
2. Porp - 5 goals, would be stiff to miss, could have been six if the advantage was played. So clean and smooth.
1. Symes - Hard nut. That is all.

BTM
3. Vince - Took hit after hit willingly.
2. Sellar - Hating on him now? Still got a ways to go, but I that's courage.
1. Dogga - Quiet day, but laid 6 tackles and tried. Also creamed Watson.

ROTY
3. Dangerfield - I like the waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay you move.
2. Sellar - Much better around the ground and gutsy as well. continues to get better EVERY game played.
1. Otten - Solid game, just a lot of contest around.

GO CROWS!

full credit to Doughty's game and the team support he got when they were double teaming Watson. Doughty is our new Shirley...the tag might not be as tight as a glove like Shirley, but Doughty still gets involved with the game. i doubt Shirley can force his way back into the side now with the team setup.

not my place to say it, but reading through this thread i think i agree with what a lot of you said.

you guys were sensational and at first i was thinking you were getting every bit of luck you could, but once i took the bombers glasses off it was just a brilliantly well drilled team with no weaknesses. every mistake you made was cleaned up with another player ready to help, but every mistake we made was cleaned up by 1 or 2 crows there in position.

it hurts me to say it about a team that just put us out, but i would really like to see you guys or the bulldogs take it out from here and i realistically think you can.

for the sake of this thread, vince was sensational. so was mcleod, tippet, porps....and pretty much every other bloody crow.

well done and good luck.

POTY:
5. Vince - Just seems to get better every week. Absolutely outstanding, despite being a target of a certain ecstasy taking sniper. Essendon's tactics only made him play better. Those 50m tracer bullets into the forward line deserve their own national day of recognition. Best and Fairest winner for 2009 surely :thumbsu:
4. McLeod - His form must have other players in his age bracket shaking their heads with disbelief. I'm sure he's only doing it to prevent Edwards from taking the games record. He is a god.
3. Porps - The little master. 5 goals and completely made a mess of Essendon's defence. His defensive pressure was first class.
2. Tippett - Another top notch game from Kurt. Such a crowd favourite, he seems to be loving it in our forward line at the moment. God I hope he signs a 5 year deal with us. Pay him all the money he wants. :thumbsu:
1. Dangerfield - Took the game away from Essendon after a close first quarter. He does things that should not be physically possible. Absolute freak of a footballer and is a joy to watch.

BTM:
3. Sellar - Played well and kicked a goal, but should tremendous courage to play on after copping a heavy knock. The applause he got from the crowd will have done him the world of good from a self belief POV. I no longer think he's a spud! :)
2. Edwards - Was an angry ant out there last night. Stuck up for his team mates and set up a few goals with his run and precise skills.
1. Maric - How funny was that tackle he got a HTB free kick for? OUCH :D

4. McLeod - I cant recall a player playing better at this late stage of their career.

2. Tippett - this guy is our ace, we can kick to him in a contested contest with confidence
1. Maric - even taking into consideration his opponent, he was fantastic.

BTM:
3. Vince - under fire all night however just kept his head over the ball.
2. Symes - every good side needs a Symes type of player (hard at it).
1. Sellar - great courage to inject himself back in the game after such a heavy knock.

ROTY
3. Danger- his contested ball work and 2 goals was valuable.
2. Otten - typical Otten game, solid and created plenty of run.
