Round 10 nomination is drazah

This weeks rising star nomination goes to drazah who sadly passed away last week. drazah was extremely close to getting a nomination on multiple occasions and was one of the best rookies this season bringing plenty of quality banter to the SFA. drazah was heroic in helping the Swamprats hold off the Wonders in a thrilling contest, with the game in the balance late draz came up huge out marking a Wonders vet and saving a goal.
4 : 22.45 {C} - Superb ruckwork from MaxMinch.
4 : 22.53 {C} - whitey_1975 wants to get on with proceedings.
4 : 23 {rHFF} - William Wonka calls for it.
4 : 23.04 {rHFF} - Grav upset the marking attempt by William Wonka.
4 : 23.08 {rHFF} - William Wonka has it. What can he do with it?.
4 : 23.12 {CHF} - He kicks across the ground towards WaLkEr_ThE_StAr.
4 : 23.16 {CHF} - WaLkEr_ThE_StAr spills the mark.
4 : 23.2 {CHF} - The ball is now with WaLkEr_ThE_StAr.
4 : 23.25 {lFP} - Throws it onto his boot.
4 : 23.28 {lFP} - Macca19 must wash his hands in superglue. Astonishing mark.
4 : 23.32 {rBP} - Macca19 takes off.
4 : 23.37 {CHB} - A short kick to Butler.
4 : 23.41 {CHB} - Butler slides in and takes the mark.
4 : 23.45 {CHB} - Butler has it.
4 : 23.49 {CHB} - In danger.
4 : 23.53 {CHF} - WaLkEr_ThE_StAr takes off.
4 : 23.57 {FF} - That's a real finger-breaker in the direction of dogs105.
4 : 24.01 {FF} - dogs105 is outmarked by drazah.
4 : 24.06 {FB} - The ball is now with drazah.

Hello everyone, first off I apologise for promising this some time ago, I know this is late, but the mighty ******* tiges!

Anyways, without further ado

Congratulations to all the players who made the S24 Mid Season Team of the Week, let's run through the team!

Team is chosen based on Rounds 1 - 8

Backs

RFCTigerArmy - Over 365 games of experience, a number of premiership medallions that requires actual thought and even sometimes counting on the hands, the founder and inaugural Captain of the Fighting Furies has brought success and a good poster back to the club, appearing in the Grand Final in RFC's first season back, although ultimate success was not to be. The Furies stalwart has found himself tasked with plenty of demanding defensive jobs, and has already earned 2 TOTW selections this season.

Matt_352 - The Roys rookie, retired memelord and promising halfback has been at the centre of attention for this years Rookie crop, and whilst his work of the field has been the talking point of some discussion, his Qooty skills have been apparent for all to see, accumulating over 90 DT points from Half Back multiple times in his first season.

Elton Johns Wig - Last years EKA medallist completed a high profile move to the Snow Dome last season, and it has proved an astute one. His leadership skills have been there for all to see at the Demons, sacrificing stats for a defensive stint whilst consistently ranking amongst the top performers throughout the week.

Helfarch - The Royals promising player has been moved around a little bit this season, but has applied the same enthusiasm to any position, his league wide 4th most marks this season are testament to that. The backline however, has been where Helfarch has truly shone, earning TOTW honours 3 times, once at Half Back and twice guarding a pocket.

United Warrior 93 - The Bombers young gun has been the most consistent player in terms of Qhampion Data TOTW nominations this season, with a ridiculous 5 appearances so far, over 8 rounds playing largely in the backline, UW93 has already racked up over 500 DT points.

Bucking Beads - The first of multiple Wonders to make this Seasons TOTW, Bucking Beads made the TOTW twice in Rounds 4 and 7 on either side of the Full Back, and has been averaging 12.7 touches from the intercepting role off defensive 50, whilst also managing to sneak forward for 6 sneaky snags as well.

Mids

FootyPie32 - The Royals Best and Fairest of Season 22, and much loved veteran of the Gold City club has impressed in the midfield this season, his stats sheet is one of the many reasons, as of Round 8 FP is in the Top 5 for Marks, Top 10 for Handballs, Top 2 for DT points and Kicks and in Round 7 he won his 2nd TOTW in the highly competitive centre position for a 166 DT, 31 touch performance...casual.

RedVest4 - vestyintheguts, what more needs to be said? The Coney Island star is fighting with FP for Dream Team supremacy at this point in the season, and was Season 24's first Qhampion Data Player of the Week, for a 145 DT point, 45 Disposal game that sparked the vestyintheguts phenomenon

D_P_S - The clear standout so far for the EKA this season, the Wonders recruit has made a name for himself in match threads, we do love our Simpsons references, whilst also starring in the middle of the pitch and all around for the West Coast outfit. D_P_S made the TOTW in round 4, and is averaging over 21 touches per game and almost 5 marks.

KohPhi - The Mid Season Ruckman, no Ruck has managed to cement a dominance in the TOTW with a new player selected every week so far, but KohPhi has become the standout player over the course of S24 so far, leading Hit outs, no, you know what, it would be much easier for me to let Kohphi himself pump his own tyres, turns out he's an expert

Ranked 1 in hitouts
Ranked 5 in total disposals
Ranked 4 in kicks
Ranked 5 in handballs
Ranked 6 in DT points
Ranked 7 in Exie points

At the halfway mark of the season, has the SFA ever seen a more dominant performance from a Ruckman?

Discuss.

Miggs - Another standout Bomber, Miggs is enjoying perhaps his finest season since entering the league in the Season 22 Superclass, finding his voice in the heart of the Bombers midfield room, and self knighting himself for doing so. 10th in Dreamteam Points, and 5th in Frees For, Miggs has been selected to the TOTW twice so far this season, in Rounds 2 and 4, and is the third and final Bomber to make this seasons team.

brahj - The Hawks superstar is a force on and off the field, and finds himself in the position he has played all year and firmly established himself as a Mobbs favourite in, Ruck Rover. Top two in both DT and Exie points, whilst also placing in the Top 10 for Tackles, and managing over double digits in goals as a midfielder, brahj has been selected in the TOTW this season twice, once in the Midfield as Rover and once on the #smartysbench.

Forwards

OES - The ex Bear made a sensational move to the Royals last season, and whilst he has experienced sporadic form in the forward line this season, his 9 goal performance from a pocket earlier this season will not be forgotten easily, and won OES the POTW at the time. With a goal average of 2.1 per game, OES finds himself sneaking in on one of the most masterful forward showings a Qooty player has ever produced.

Hatchy 1992 - The Dragons Co Captain and Full Forward has been fighting a continuous battle with Royals captain Blacky for the FF position, as of Round 8 Hatchy sits on 40 goals in 2nd. Despite not sitting on top, and obviously unluckily playing second fiddle to Blacky in the Mid Season TOTW as our Half Forward, Hatchy has enjoyed his fair share of successes, out of three TOTW placements, two have been at Full Forward, in Rounds 5 and 6 and with half a season to go the race for the Fred is still well and truly on between some top competitors.

Tim_Saints - The Bears returning veteran slipped seamlessly into Sweet F.A life after significant time away from the game, and whilst he may only be good for 5.5 disposals per game, almost half of them are bound to result in goals. Making the TOTW in Round 7 in the Forward Pocket, T_S, through sheer efficiency is the Mid Season Right Half Forward flanker.

Xenxen - Another clinical performer, and the only member of the team to have changed clubs in this years Mid Season trade period, the ex-Wonders Rookie and now Roy has settled on the Qooty field a bit quicker than off it, with a handy 13 goals from a pocket, and a special TOTW performance in Round 2, just off debut, with 4 goals to help seal the win.

Blacky - The Current Fred Medal leader, Royals Captain and reigning Beez MVP Blacky has continued his Full Forward dominance, just the same as when he played there last season, and added 3 more TOTW appearances to his ever growing Qooty resume, to go with FF in the Mid Season team, although it must be noted again just how close the race between Hatchy and Blacky is right now.

Croweater 41 - The Wonders veteran and Hall of Fame member has not only won a game after the Siren from his own boot this season, the ultimate ego booster, but sits pretty in the top 10 for goals scored so far, and is leading the impressive attack of a Wonders team intent on a renaissance after years of team sheet errors and cellar dwelling.

Interchange

Pantskyle - The current Mobbs Medallist, and yes, Gold City Royal is our first interchange member, and although he now plays for the Royals, it felt like a nice idea to have all teams represented in the team this season...despite some club having no stand out players so far whatsoever...cough (fold) cough. The Gumbies selection to the team has been in fine form in the midfield, and was POTW only a few weeks back. However midfield is a very hard spot to crack with such tight competition, and despite the fact pants is right up there in leading the Tackle count and frees for, showing he can still win it out of the medal with the best of them, his disposal count has been slightly down leading to just a bench position.

Philreich - The Demons rookie of last season was one of the most impressive additions to the League from S23, and his move to the Swamprats was a major coup, it's easy to see phil will be a leader at his club for a long time to come. Even with the Swamprats well document woes, phil has been doing his shift and then some, since Round 1 when he earned a TOTW nomination to try and reclaim some dignity from the disaster of a season, placing top 5 in tackles, frees for and DreamTeam points, whilst also figuring in the top 20 players for overall touches, the only Swamprat to make the team is the final addition to this seasons Mid Year TOTW.

Unlucky Emergencies

Mooch - The Roys forward has been in fine form with over 25 goals so far to this Season

Avatarp - The Bears 2nd Season midfielder would probably have been the next midfielder selected, and incredibly unlucky to miss out after 2 TOTW selections so far.

Brown Bottle - I don't know how, probably should have retired.

Cheers for reading, and congrats once again to those currently enjoying being the chief conspirers of commiseration for many other people on any given Sunday. :)

2nd one for the year! Thanks for the LOVE!!! Unlike nahnah :p

We all use the same formulae and also extensive discussion is held in pm's between myself, tgrs, Sterge and Ant Bear to determine outcomes with a high level of integrity.

It's ok nahnah I know you're saving me for the last round :p don't you bring Ant Bear into this or is he the reason why I made mid season team of the week? :p

Sounds like a discussion you would get from the Trump camp.
