You are jaded.

You can't seriously argue that players who are potential super stars are not given an opportunity when Michaelhaney, Soligo, Rachele and in the last 2 years Worrell (after his well documented indiscretions) who have been given opportunities but some how there are superstars ready to immediately step up in the SANFL that we are ignoring.
No, you are bloody naive to not realise we are being coached by a complete numpty.

No, I'm pissed off as a member I'm paying for a coach who is incapable of getting thr best out of our side & matching it with the best sides.

Clearly you have low standards, but I prefer to be the best, rather than average.

We have plenty of players in the sanfl who are ready to contribute... yet you made the worst post of the day suggesting we have no depth worth playing.

Thank Matty, please exit the door asap!

Our midfield depth is a massive issue.

You mean backup midfielders not in the side or depth of the rotations? If it’s the latter, I think it’s ok, although needs developing. Particularly Curtin and Draper getting in there plus more from Rachele. Our club has favoured a shallow rotation for years.

Maybe. But a core group should not be "run into the ground". Apart from Tex and Laird and 1st and 2nd year players, no one has a valid excuse for being run into the ground. If a solid core of players is "run into the ground" then we might as well just pack it all up and not play football.

Hundreds of football players, play 10 games in a row without being run into the ground. This is seriously not a serious argument.

If there is a genuine injury, thats different. But these players are paid good money to get AFL fit to last the season.

general soreness can be a thing and yes if players have knocks and we just ignore it and it accumulates, then yes they can be ran into the ground.

After specifically saying at the beginning of the season he was taking a "squad approach". What a lie that was.

We have 5 to 6 players who could come into the side as depth players who could perform the role and allow some players with niggles to get a week recovery. You want to prime the squad for finals, not kill the side before finals and be found relying on depth players in finals. All the best sides at this time of year, audition depth and rotate heavily with the goal to peak in the final weeks of the season.

I'm not overly concerned about missing a few routine set shots by a small margin

I'm bloody concerned that with the game on the line one of our best players in Rankine not only misses a relatively easy 30m shot, but misses entirely. Twice.

These weren't just misses. They were systemic chokes in big moments which we have been doing constantly in these sorts of games for years.

It's more than "player was bad at executing that skill at that moment"
Recruiting? Are we recruiting players who can't handle pressure? Or is that taught?

I think we'd be very unlucky to have recruited so many chokers

I think the club and coaches do a poor job of handling pressure and that flows down to the players. A systemic issue across all areas of the club enabled by the leaders including Nicks

This.

Not sure on the CB stats but Rachele looked to be around the ball more, which was good.

Keays playing his worst game in a very long time was the flipside

This kills me every ****ing week. Rash is a clearance machine. This week, 12% CBA for 3 clearances. That was in the second quarter I think. Didn't get another one. What is going on with this???

CBA stats were

ROB - 22
Dawson - 19
Soligo - 18
Rankine - 14
Peatling - 10
Berry - 8
Rachele - 3
Thilthorpe - 2

Rachele had 2 in the first, 1 in the second.

With ANB and Keays stinking we probably needed him down there to give us something.

But yeah he looks likely every time he goes in there.

Yeah not great.

He did play higher up the ground today, but needs to run through the CB more. As does Peatling

How much more evidence do we need that Nicks is a moron!

Soligo struggling with injury, Rachele feeling good.

Yea, with Soligo struggling so much it seems sensible to get Peatling and Rachele, even Keays in there a bit more.

That's the problem with us putting Berry in the side for a whole game I guess. He's probably not going to cut back on the minutes Dawson, Soligo and Rankine get to put Berry in there across a whole game.

Even Peatling having 10 isn't enough.

3 is ridiculous, Taylor 0......
If it's failing, just keep doing the same old over & over.

Nicks is a moron as is VB as midfield coach refusing to use deep rotations.
