I watched the game tonight and what stood out most to me was North's tall forwards taking control in the air. I would have thought you guys would be looking to bring in another bigger defender if you have anyone available?

We had another key defender (Hartigan) and guess what! He didn't play and was an emergency instead, played SANFL

I'm not going to get into the Cheney vs Hartigan debate as I don't rate either.

However, when the ball come down to the forward line as fast and as often as it did tonight in the second half, the defensive back 6 are going to be in some trouble.

It's not the only thing Cameron brings but his defensive pressure, harassment, chasing will make a massive difference.

- A Talia who has the balls to actually mark it rather than a punch even when he's in the clear…ditto Lever
- A Jacobs who bothers to contest against his opponent around the ground
- A Tex and Eddie who can kick
- A Brad Crouch with less rust
- A Smith who stops burning worms
- A Sloane with some semblance of composure
- A Lynch who gets on his own up and down the ground

We had soooooo many good players who put in shockers. Add that to the young guys and the usual shockers, it's amazing we got that close.

He did ok until Harvey kicked 3 on him. Then there was that quick rush forward that he let Garner soccer through. Harvey is that kind of player where 5 minutes is enough for 3 or 4 goals. The Garner one was one of those that you are sitting on your player waiting/hoping it doesn't come out quickly and it did.

I watched all of Mackay, VB and Cheney and of the 3 VB would be the one feeling the pressure. Playing Port with their pacy players would give me pause. I would like to see the match up because I don't think its a direct Hartigan for VB swap. Hartigan is slower and dumber than VB imo. My head would not explode if VB kept his spot. I don't see training I am not involved in match committee discussions.

3 tall forwards are 3 tall forwards genius. So we need Hartigan for a better forward line? Why wouldn't we use him for an inferior forward line that has the same amount of talls? Weird kind of moronic thinking
