Rowe averages basically the same tackles and pressure acts as Murphy. More disposals and more goals.

I'm not advocating for Rowe long term, I want better, but he's better than murphy

Murphy is Riley Knight version 2.

A forward that doesn't impact the scoreboard, is in the side for "pressure" but isn't amazing in that area, struggles in other roles, and has no standout athletic traits

Wasted games is my belief. Once it becomes clear a player doesn't belong in a future top four side be persist far too long.

I like the Petrenko comparison but Knight is probably a good one as well.

Knight did play in a good team though, wheras Murphy will probably get delisted by the time we challenge.

much, MUCH more likely that Murphy will be on the list next year though

Newchurch is just uncompetitive. He doesn’t compete. Will be lucky to survive

Havent been able to watch any of the SANFL this year to form my own opinion on him & remember the lack of competitiveness was the knock on him prior to the draft. Has he made any improvement there?

Watching the game on the weekend he has made improvements. He didnt find a heap of the pill but he worked harder then previous times ive seen him and he applied pressure. He was up for the contest and will likely be a slow burn if he makes it. No way he gets delisted this year, nicks said hes happy with how tiarek is developing. Think people on this board expect way to much out of young blokes at our club. Especially a skinny rookie who we knew needed time.

0 tackles.

he’s definitely at risk of being a one & done player. Doesn’t mean he will be, but it will shock literally no one of us is

Hes definately make a decent improvement on his pressure and second and third efforts in the last few games.. you can see it.

But its still not enough.. he’s still got a lot more work to do on it.

He may still be a bit intimidated by the larger, harder bodies.. maybe another preseason to build core strength and a bit more size might help.

But come this time next year if he doesnt fully swing things around.. he’s a delist.

I thought his game was the best I've seen at League level this season, seemed to have more urgency and definitely went at the contest the best I've ever seen from him, notable that he played mostly on the wing this week that saw him more involved, a long way to go but there is definitely something pretty special there if it can be harnessed....that's the big question. Do we have the patience to try and nurture his god given talents and add more competitiveness to his game as it may be a long journey?

I don't see any reason to cut a category B rookie until his full three years is up. His salary is outside the cap and his list spot is outside the normal limit

That may very much depend on where we see this year's NGA pair Isaiah Dudley and Blayne O'Loughlin draft prospects.

Of interest a former Crow's Academy NGA Leek Aleer has come on in leaps and bounds holding down a Key post in Central's defence this year so maybe he's still eligible?

Davis deserves a gig if both Smith and Hamill are missing
I'd prefer we played Worrell. 2 or so games for Davis in 5 or 6 years is evidence enough he's not going to make it, even if he did have a few good moments on the weekend.

Out: Hamill, Smith, Davis
In: Berry, Sholl (DMac sub)

I'm of the view that Davis did well in limited minutes, give him a full game in place of Hamill.

Lynch or Cook move into Smith's wing role and Gollant comes in for Smith.

If we need more height down back then possibly Framton for Cook

What the...???

I just feel if we give Davis another year and a few more games, he's going to be in that 23-28 position on the list for his whole career.

Brodie Martin, CEY, Shaun McKernan, Levi Casboult. Where we are and with a lot of running defenders and med forwards, is this type of player where we should be investing games into?

It's ok to move him on, that's the industry. If he gets a shot elsewhere, great, we can wish him well. But there haven't been too many players we have delisted in the last 5 years who have gone on to be successful elsewhere.

Love this guy's highlights, he seems to read the play so well and has great hands.

Do you think he goes in the main draft or could be straight to the rookie list?

Kicking needs work.

And we do have Butts, Murray, McAsey, Frampton, Borlase and to a lesser degree Worrell fit for purpose?

Frampton for Kelly. You don't drop a kid after one game otherwise why play him. Especially when they perform as Cook did in the toughest game all year. Kelly hasn't signed a deal which means he is leaving end of the year or hanging out for more money which he doesn't deserve. Worrell or Frampton for Kelly I'm onboard with.

I don't think Kelly is hanging out for more money, I think he's hanging out for a contract offer.
