What a game, I was shitting myself at work the whole time, we won extremely ugly, but we won nonetheless.

Onto next week, we'll be going in as favourites against Brisbane, but they won't be easy beats.

I w
God damn this team takes years off my life sometimes.
Just an awful game in so many ways but again we found a way.

Voss was epic and Cohuna was massive at times.
Fyfe bossed the centre right when we needed it.
Switta connected well and Bruce is a young God.

On the negative side we got bad Shai tonight, Amiss took way too long to get into it (bring him up on a wing when he's getting pantsed), we let Butters do whatever he wanted for far too long.

Banfield, O'Driscoll horrible, Chapman had some moments but he's miles off his best.

Our mid forward connection was for the most part terrible and the crumbing non existent.

I try not to buy into umpires having agendas but it's hard when it was as consistently biased and terrible as it was tonight. There were any number of examples but taking that mark off Voss was the cherry on top.

At least our destiny is still in our hands. Dogs lose tomorrow and its all she wrote, we play finals.
I watched a different game...starting with Shai kicking our first 2 goals!
But youre right...our destiny is in our own hands!
incredible as it may seem we have a clear path to the cup!
We have won 11 out of last 12!
We CAN also win the next seven!

Shai Bolton is terrible but…

This is the year. The two best teams with proven experience and outcomes are losing to rubbish teams, have some discontent and injuries, and seem quite beatable.

The main threat, the Crows, don’t have the experience. They’ve really overachieved. They’re not that great.

Fremantle are in form, Fremantle’s best is very good, and for once in the club’s history there’s no injuries (sans Young) crippling the team at an important time of the year.

This is that Bradbury, 2016 Bulldogs opportunity.

Please, please, please just do it.
And as we speak ...WC are conducting a clinic for the rest of the comp on how to beat the Crows!
(only 1/2 time but you know...?}
But hey...We already did that in round seven.
YOKAI!

What does Yokai mean?
It’s a Noongar word.

"Yokayi is an energy of spiritual strength that builds up from within and it is released once victory is reached," he explains.

That was in no way, any shape or form, a good win
Got some very reliable mail that confirms the rumour that a lot of the boys were sick during the week. If that's the case, it's a bloody good win; don't have to be off by much at this level, and when you throw the 'interesting' umpiring in, makes it even harder.

I’m assuming NOD, Banfield, Chapman, Dudley, Amiss were the ones that were sick?

Umpiring bad both ways . That was 15 m to Darcy

2nd qtr I have no idea how we got like that , though the commentators did mention in 1st qtr freo seemed to be playing like they thought it was going to be easy

Luckily we lifted in 3rd and brought it home in the last

Am I the only one that thinks Darcy has been quietly very good since returning from injury? His fitness has massively improved this year.

I’m surprised he’s stayed on the park most of the year. Has helped Jackson. Has helped our last quarters.

Really hoping he can have another solid preseason and hit 2026 in better shape and fitness, but has made a massive turnaround.

First time iv been happy with an Erasmus game. Would absoloutly love to be proven wrong by him.
Erasmus is someone we shouldn’t have drafted.

Freo were always averse to getting best available and being cheeky. it worked with Fyfe, Neale, but we went down the simple ‘get the best WA kid’ with him and Johnson and it wasn’t right. but I guess it made sense with Amiss.

I always thought we should’ve drafted more WA lads so the egg is on my face, but we went Erasmus when we didn’t need him - it’s pretty hard to crack into our current midfield, they’re pretty much the face and guts of the club.

In a way it’s harder to draft when you’re doing well.

Something of concern amongst the celebration of the moose mark and goal.
Watching the replay again today and with Moose drifting across the front of the pack the other players in that pack
were Darcy, Jackson and Voss . They were all set to compete with each other for that mark.
It actually looked like Vossy would have marked the ball if Alex hadn’t been there; but all three of our big guys flying for that ?
