I agree completely that he shouldn't have been selected, as my posting will have indicated.No, passengers don’t do nothing, they do nowhere near enough. A couple of good moments over 4 quarters of football doesn’t move someone out of passenger category. I’m not blaming Curtin, he did the best he could with the conditioning he had. He just shouldn’t have been selected.
However, he wasn't a "passenger". I would agree that he was up until about halfway through the third, but from then on, he advanced himself to a "normal" Curtin game for the rest of it, including some critical plays helping the win.
This was significantly better than I had expected, and it now looks like a much more reasonable selection than originally.
