It's a Thursday Night match, so I doubt it.

It could maybe be moved to Kardinia Park, though.

Have to play our one home game at Etihad .....not many options as we would not want to play a big team there and the smaller teams use it as their home ground - in hindsight should have had the lions there !

We shouldn't have to play home games at Etihad, especially now that the AFL own the ground. We're far too big to be playing there.

I was fairly surprised by this scheduling

• Last year our game against Sydney drew 58k
• There's no other events at the G in the way (SOO is 3 weeks earlier)
• On that weekend Carlton play a home game at the G which could easily be played at Etihad (vs Port)
• Our games against Sydney are usually close (2017 MCG, 2016 MCG, 2015 SCG, 2014 ANZ & MCG)

Right now on that weekend they have
Etihad, Thursday night - Richmond vs Sydney (40-45k)
Etihad, Friday night - Dogs vs Geelong (40-45k)
MCG, Saturday early - Carlton vs Port (35-40k)
MCG, Sunday early - Melbourne vs St Kilda (35-40k)
Etihad, Sunday - Essendon vs North (30-35k)

It seems to be fairly easy to maintain the same loads on each ground, and play ours as a Friday or Saturday night game that could draw 65k+ if both teams are firing.

My mates and I go on a footy trip over east every year. This year we have picked rd 15. Fly out Thursday morning for the Tigers/Swans in Melbourne, then to Adelaide on Saturday morning for the Eagles/Crows. Kittens/Crazy Horse double

Sydney have the biggest following in Melbourne for an interstate team aswell. Ridiculous that we play them at Ethihad but then a team like Brisbane at the G.
