In recent news Richmond have cut ties with their Ambassador George Pell.

You have to question - Why didn't this happen earlier? The Royal Commission into Child Abuse found he had handled Child Abuse claims against the Church extremely poorly. He setup a process to deal with complaints that essentially handed out below average compensation payments, whilst doing nothing to mitigate, discuss or solve the problem. He moved priests around after they had caused trouble and allowed them to continue practicing & abusing. Clear warning signs already and enough evidence for anyone with decent morals to part ways a long time ago. Yet Richmond continued with the ambassador role.
Now it's been found he wasn't just complicit but also involved himself in child abuse - and finally Richmond have pulled the trigger. Despite his poor handling of this matter being clear and apparent years ago when the Commission started.
Why has it taken until now for Richmond to denounce him?
Does this place a stain Richmond Football club?
IMO it's not good enough to denounce him now, it should have been done a long time ago after the Royal Commission Findings - Thoughts Bigfooty?
