We still started with Taranto Hopper and KMac in the centre again and still preserved with Taranto and Hopper throughout the whole game. Clearly the coaches are locked in on the Melbourne midfield model and are to stubborn to do anything different. Hardly a masterful coaching display

Everyone thought we would be crushed, but mostly, we played well. It’s not possible to have kids or lack experience all the time in the mid. Gotta have some experience in there. More positive then not.

Agreed I tossed and turned going today , probably the stunning weather was decider so trekked in hoping for a competitive effort , I was 100% delighted with that and it got better the longer the game went

Walked away from the G with a smile today. What a great effort and performance from last years wooden spooners against the reigning premiers.

Trainor, Lalor and Armstrong all showing great signs. The fact that they look for Trainor to use the footy says how highly his foot skills are rated.

Loved the game of Campbell and Green.

Think we still forget just how important Vlastuin is too. He is going to be seriously hard to replace.

Cameron kicked 3, but I thought Kaleb Smith did a pretty good job on him. Just not sure if he’s up to it just yet though
