Tim Gossage strikes again.

This is what I loved about the game - I said at halftime it was nice to be leading, but down 31-18 inside-50's I said the method wasn't great to watch and not much future in it just 'parking the bus' and getting numbers back. Then 3rd quarter we actually changed the style - more attacking, more risk through the middle, was 16-11 inside-50's our way for the quarter. So I loved that despite leading we adjusted and turned the game on its head with an attacking style that was awesome. We went back into our first half style for the last quarter but we will learn from that. And oh.....add to that team: Mansell, Gibcus, Lefau, Smillie, Hotton, McCauliffe, Prestia, Armstrong, Trainor (not sub) and a couple of top-4 picks from this years draft. Good times !!

Easy to call out Green for the clangers when we are trusting him with biting off the most difficult kicks. He's got a weapon by foot and I thought was really good even though he did miss a couple. If he connects well with them he'll be amazing

Yeah agree, at the game his work rate was elite playing back and forth, he did have to bite off hard kick as you said and he was close with threading the needle on a lot of them. He just needs to settle into the team now

What a win! I honestly thought we’d lose by 100+ points. To be up by 43 points at 3 quarter time far exceeded my expectations. Already matched our 2 wins last season by Round 6 and didn’t even play North Melbourne or West Coast yet. Well done boys!

Vlastuin might’ve had his best game ever today. Was immense. Balta was also huge. We clearly were missing him.

Back 6 played out of their skins today. Haven’t seen them this good in a while.

Taranto had a big 3rd quarter. Want more of that.

lot of hate for Sampson Ryan on here. I’m far from convinced on him but I will say that he didn’t get obliterated by Witts, who is one of the most underrated ruckmen in the game, the guy is a beast. Ryan also got to plenty of marking contests to cause a spill or allow one of ours to be third man up and win the contest. No, he didn’t clunk anything which ultimately might be the reason he doesn’t make it but he was getting to the right spots, generally.

He laid a crucial tackle at a centre bounce clearance which earned a free kick and stopped the momentum of the suns charge in the last qtr.

Yes he could have done (a lot) more but he wasn’t the train wreck some on here would have you believe.
