No way in hell is Jakovich a Freo boy.The Scott boys aren't from WA. Hows he a Freo boy???
And FWIW he is doing a sterling job with that backline, its about as leaky as an old hose @ the moment.

I've got a sneaking suspicion that Jacko will turn up as an assistant coach in some capacity. Lately he hasn't been slagging us off as much and whenever I catch a taxi with PR on when quizzed about his future he seems keen on an assistant role and says he won't be leaving perth he seems very coy about it.
Maybe he knows something we don't
So Pav isn't a Freo person? This 'Freo person' crap is just that - crap. Do you consider yourself a Freo person wiz? You're not a WA person IIRC, so how can you be a Freo person?
All reports suggest he's doing a good job with the young guys and he is very well respected. Show me a backline that's working well in any of the bottom 4 sides. He's had Grover, McPharlin and Hayden all missing at various stages throughout the year. He's done well with the resources available to him.

I regard Pav as a "Docker" not a Freo person as such. He's a South Australian and he should be darmn proud of that.
That's a weird categorization. I regard Jakovich as a "planet of the morons" personI regard Pav as a "Docker" not a Freo person as such. He's a South Australian and he should be darmn proud of that.

Robert Shaw

ROBERT Shaw is the latest to leave Fremantle, citing family reasons for returning to Melbourne after three years with the club.
Fremantle’s general manager of football operations told the club on Monday he would return home at the end of the season to be with his wife and four children.
Shaw said he was proud of his time with Fremantle and would follow the club closely in the future.
“It’s been a great challenge working at Fremantle and I’m very optimistic about the future of the Fremantle Football Club,” Shaw said in a statement released by the club.
“I’m intensely proud of my contribution to Fremantle and the role that I have played in its growth.
“However, being apart from [my wife] Gayle and the girls has not been easy. They have been tower of strength during my time here at Fremantle and I know that their support will continue into the next phase of my football career.”
Shaw's announcement follows the departure of chief executive Cameron Schwab, who also left to return home to Melbourne for family reasons. The club has also been hit heavily by player retirements this season with Heath Black, Mark Johnson, Matthew Carr, Peter Bell and Shaun McManus calling it quits.
Freo chief executive Steve Rosich, who replaced Schwab, said Shaw had made a lasting impression on the club over the past three seasons.
“The combination of Robert’s football experience and his ability to bring people together has been a great benefit to the club,” Rosich said.
“We wish Robert all the best in returning to his family Melbourne and continued success in the AFL.”
President Rick Hart also praised Shaw’s work with Fremantle.
“There’s no doubt that Robert sacrificed a lot by coming to Fremantle and I’d like to thank him for all that he has done during his time at the club," Hart said.
"He brought a wealth of football experience to Fremantle and gave us stability and loyalty."
Shaw played 51 games for Essendon as a defender between 1974-81 and coached Fitzroy from 1991-94.
He coached Adelaide in 1995-96, returned to Essendon as an assistant under former coach Kevin Sheedy, before the three years in his current role at Fremantle.
very goodWhat's wrong with Jacko?
He is often unaided in his support of us from the commentary box and would be quite amphibious in the job. Plus he doesn't come from Essingdon.
You guys are always looking for an Escape Goat.

Daniher would have been very nice to have back. I'd suggest we look outside the Essendon sphere, though. Maybe we can approach Robert Walls?![]()
Surely you jest....
