Bit of love for Round 10. Who could forget knocking off the Bombers in 2001? A game that was the catalyst for the 2001 premiership, and the beginning of a 20 game winning streak.

As it turns out, Round 10 has delivered a few surprise wins of late.

2010 - The Lions enter the game following five straight losses, yet a little Fevola magic goes a long was to defeat eventual premiers Collingwood in Luke Powers 250th match.

2011 - The Lions sit at a win loss record of 1 from 8 starts, but head over to Adelaide and romp home by 40 points, well against the odds.

2012 - The Lions enter the game having only beaten the three teams that sit below them on the ladder, and given no chance (bookies paying up to $5 for the win), we manage knock off the top of the table team after trailing by as much as 21 points in the final quarter. It marks the first time the Lions have toppled the ladder leader since 2004.

I love you Round 10.

Our record in Round 10 in the three years before 2010 aren't too shabby either, two wins against North Melbourne and a draw against Richmond.

Clearly on these stats we should have gone in favourites ;)

Next game is Round 10(b), followed by Round 10(c)......

At this rate, we'll make the finals after Round 10(n).

If there is some kind of pattern, then thank God we have the bye in round 11!

Just look back...

2011- That shocking performance against the Swans
2010- Blacky is incorrectly ruled to have thrown and we lose by a point to the Kangaroos
2009- Every key defender in our squad gets injured at the same time and Fevola kicks eight on Joel Macdonald. We lose by one goal to Carlton at the Gabba.

It might have been a draw against Richmond, back in 2007 I think it was, but was DEFINITELEY a shabby game that night. Drummond was about the only player who could produce anything decent for us.

Yeah, that was my memory as well but I thought... hey, not a loss! :D

Yesterday our best home and away performance in my opinion since the if it bleeds we can kill it game which was 2001 round... 10

Our ebst performance last year beating the crows in Adeliade in.... you guessed it round 10

Our best performance of 2010 beating the pies at the gabba and would you believe it was round 10

We have not lost a round 10 game since 2006 (we did tie with Richmond in round 10 2007)

can't it be round 10 every week?

I remember that game. It was in the middle of a real bad patch for us. Looked like we might just scrape over the line but we couldn't do anything right in that last quarter. We really needed a win. Felt like a loss.

Can't wait for round 10 + 2 in a few weeks time:thumbsu:
