I thought Ryan and Duggan cracked in, the others I completely agree. How Jayden Hunt is still getting a game is beyond me

They did but being senior players I expect more.

He was playing VFL (Richmond), then local footy before that? Shows the level that's on compared to Wafl. Was thinking this guys doing what you want our players to do, lower your eyes, don't dump kick, spot up players on the chest, handball+kick accurately, clean disposal etc..and has pace.

But then really he was just doing what most of the Carlton players were doing, he was on that level. He was playing smart football. It says something about our team and where they're at. Hopefully his finesse rubs off on other players. And hopefully Jacob Newton has similar traits.

Yeah it's kinda jarring how he can come in and play so well. Like you said WA footy needs help especially with development if a vfl guy can come in and play at level above 100 gamer players for our club.

The kids & less experienced players stood up. The senior players let them down badly.

Hunt, Cripps, Ryan, Kelly, Flynn, Allen, Duggan all useless or barely up to standard. No wonder we cant win

The sooner these players are out of our team the better.

I don't believe McQualter gets to veto the team, I think it has to be agreed to by our selection committee. And when we've gone hard-core youth first we got annihilated and since then there's been a bit of a focus to make sure we have have enough senior players in the team.

That's what the player meeting after the Carlton game in Gather Round was all about.

Too many players need to be dropped but there's nobody to take their spots. Their replacements would be worse which shows how bad the list is. Most of them are the older players too

Yeah I get it the right mix and mature bodies to stand up to more mature clubs. It's just hard sometimes watching these senior guys let the team down but they are playing a role in some way. I'm just being impatient I want the rebuild to happen now but we are still a 2 years away I'd say. Just venting also because we lost. I'm kinda sick of losing.

This year was his free hit as a midfielder or HFF. He will be under the pump next year.

Not many players get a free hit like he has

Yeah its damning. We have so many holes that need filling everywhere. Key back, midfield, ruck. Probably have to go through another few draft cycles before this team is rebuilt. Maybe we can fill a few holes in the trade period I dunno.

Positive efforts from Harley, Bailey, Hewitt, and of course Tom McCarthy, who was absolutely magnificent on debut. If only the rest of the team would put in the same amount of effort and work on their skills so they can hit targets even half as good as he does, we go a lot closer to winning more games.

I think it's just with young teams they're going to be inconsistent. One week they're in the match during the first another they are out of it.

I'd rather lose by 70 and get games into Shanahan, Grego, Malakai etc than lose byb36 with the usual suspects

Negative: how far back are our skills and fitness teams if Tom McCarthy comes in on debut and secures BOG for us? 31 disposals at 94% is a pipe dream for most of this side.

Hope we take a long, hard look at these areas over the offseason and send a few blokes packing. If I were these clowns I would be very bloody nervous for Monday morning and half expecting a "please explain".
