How out of touch is the club.
Inflation up so high people have too work and they force his ol man not only too take a day off but travel interstate.
Should've waited until we play in melb.
Well if his mum wasn’t at the races every weekend he wouldn’t need to work the overtime :moustache:

There's no way this is a serious take?

So in limited game time, he almost mirrored his stats from last year in which many hailed him as our best mid.

Seems the club might know a thing or 2 based on the above.
It's a strange concept, that those that spend day in and day out with the players, know more about how the team should be selected and how players are used than us keyboard warriors.

Always look forward to games against the Tigers! Gonna be beautiful weather tomorrow in Adelaide. I wouldn't be surprised to see Butts come in for McAdam now that you're playing Ryan, with Sloane moving to half forward and Sholl to the wing.
Some interesting matchups
Butts v Lynch / Ryan (both 200cm+)
Sholl v McIntosh / Pickett (both tiger wingers are very physical players)
Sloan v Daniel Rioli ( bit of a difference in speed here)

Confirmed, Barrett writes his articles with a crayon.

Wonder how he rates the Carlton midfield we pantsed last week?

Honestly, this such a terrible take and even worse to double down on. Prestia, TT, Hopper and Nank match up well against pretty much every club, and then you’ve got the ability to chuck in Dusty, Bolton and Cotch which is an a grade midfield by itself.

So who goes to him?

Hopper or Pickett

I love the way Ivan talks, he takes his time which just makes you want to listen.
Rare skill that I wish I had.

Would be a great talk back host with those dulcet tones.

No idea, I am guessing it will be a team defense given that even Butts is way too short for him. Has he shown good goal scoring ability at VFL level?
Been developing nicely
Kicked a couple of small bags on occasion last year and has put on significant size over the pre season

Don’t think Pickett is the right matchup for Laird, Hopper a good shout though. Nicks hinted today that Keays and Sloane may see more midfield minutes this week as well.

His kicking is a bit hit miss. But he is a great mark. I think after last weeks game we felt we needed more marking and halving contests in our f50.

Curious, why not Pickett?

He is fit, tough as old oak, defensive and quick. The only reason I’d be against it is cos I think he is important for our structures with his defensive wing running.

Sampson Ryan will be isolated deep and kick 4 on debut. Heard it here first.
Given the role he played in the VFL last week it's a good shout, especially given Hardwick said they want Nankervis playing 90% in the ruck.

Very tall from us i guess we are expecting to win the midfield battle. If crows bomb it in we win but if they have slow build-up chip kicks.. our backs just aren't that fast enough. God Help us when it goes to ground in our def 50

Our backs aren’t fast enough?

Rioli, Broad, Young and Balta all elite athletes with elite speed. Grimes was but maybe lost a yard, still was quick enough on Curnow last week.

Vlas is the only one in that 6 who didn’t break 3 seconds in their 20m sprint.

We actually have a very fast tall and agile backline

Grimes 193cm - His speed is fast enough to make Vroom Vroom Cameron his b!tch
D.Rioli - Saad , LOB , all sh!t the bed when Dan is chasing
Young - Whilst never played he has elite pace
Balta - Well we all know his speed is elite
Broad & Vlastuin - Not slow but not elite pace
