Actually GWS had someone with Laird most of the game last week and it was pretty much shut down Adelaide’s midfield. Outside of laird there’s not a lot of ball winning mids. Having a fairly defensive mindset around laird wouldn’t be a crazy idea.

Just indicating I'm old enough to have enjoyed the film when it was released. And I've never taken any interest in how much is in the glass. My focus has always been on how much is in bottle next to the glass. As a related sideshow, I saw Don McLean in concert in Canberra too many years ago to count. He was supported by Odetta who made the disturbing comment that she saw that ending as a mercy killing. Very weird thing to say but racial tension was electric in America at the time.
