Yep, I'd hope this hasn't been a payment to make it all go away and that would make me sick if that was the case.. but by the same token if he is totally innocent he's lost a year of a career that let's be honest, is a short career to start with.. And will forever be followed around with the stigma of it.

If there is truth to this and it is reasonably proven thru witnesses and evidence of events, there needs to be some serious consequences for individuals who commit such behavior.

You can’t just go after a high profile person to try and destroy their lives to try and make a cash splash for yourself.

If it is proven you genuinely made it up and has vindictive malevolent intents, there needs to be severe consequences on you

That's what two witnesses have said.

He may be a fool for paying for a threesome as a public figure but he isn't a rapist.

There are many cases in the UK of Rugby and Soccer players having the same bogus charges bought by women after a quick payday.

The worst thing?

It absolutely harms the poor women who are actually r*ped from getting a fair trial.

If this woman has indeed asked for more cash - as witnesses have claimed - then throw the book at her for whatever charges will stick.

When the prosecution is seeking perjury charges because witnesses lied under oath you can make a pretty good summation that the whole thing was bullshit though.

It’s seedy as anything. I’m sure these kinds of debauched activities (ie paying for sex in laneways, not rape) happen at a lot of clubs.

Among other things, there were all sorts of allegations regarding treatment of sex workers by AFL players in the aftermath of the Milne incident.

Hopefully there will be less of it after this.

He’s learned an extremely expensive lesson if it’s true she was lying. We’ll see if he gets back in track next year. Wouldn’t surprise if Geelong are very over him.
