Richmond supporters of course know all the evidence of the caseStill wouldn't want this guy around my club, if they're up to that sort of stuff.
Maybe, or maybe…..
‘Two witnesses who testified said they were told in the weeks after the night out that the woman had said she lied about the alleged attack.
They heard the men paid the woman for sexual services, but after she demanded more money, which the men refused, she decided to report the interaction as rape, the court was told.
“[I concluded that] if she consented and requested payment for services, she provided consent; therefore it is not right … if she then reported it as rape – that would be lying to the police,” one of the witnesses told the court.‘
True, but the same principle of proof BRD needs to apply. The lie should be treated as seriously as what a potential conviction would look like for the supposed offender.
It's disgraceful, if true.
Yep, I'd hope this hasn't been a payment to make it all go away and that would make me sick if that was the case.. but by the same token if he is totally innocent he's lost a year of a career that let's be honest, is a short career to start with.. And will forever be followed around with the stigma of it.Always a great situation. Either the "victim" has been pressured into it or a young bloke thats totally innocent now lives with this stigma forever. No winners really
Doesn't mean he didn't do it. What's he getting charged for in the first place?
If there is truth to this and it is reasonably proven thru witnesses and evidence of events, there needs to be some serious consequences for individuals who commit such behavior.Oh how interesting...
A false accusation.
So it’s alleged that she got paid for sex, demanded more money, they refused, she drove them home and then Got furious and decided to accuse them of rape as revenge? As reported by witnesses involved? As per some of the stories coming out so far.
If there is truth to that… I feel for him
When the prosecution is seeking perjury charges because witnesses lied under oath you can make a pretty good summation that the whole thing was bullshit though.True, but the same principle of proof BRD needs to apply.
Charges dropped does not automatically mean they were lies.
Shit are they really? When the prosecution is seeking perjury charges
Yeah mate you are right. I heard that the two witnesses who disputed the legitimacy of the alleged victim in the matter are die hard Geelong supporters and could not stand the thought of the alleged accused being sent to the can and kicked off the team……….Swept under the carpet as usual.
Justice in this case would see her charged with an indictable offence for providing a false or misleading statement to the cops. There is no justice in this world for women.
I'm not giving my position but some of the posts by Geelong fans are very naive. Almost like they haven't lived life enough to know that some very shifty stuff exists in terms of how these cases are often 'concluded'. There are countless examples.Justice in this case would see her charged with an indictable offence for providing a false or misleading statement to the cops.
Yeah righto mate, I’m prepared to put my credentials up against yours on these types of matters.I'm not giving my position but some of the posts by Geelong fans are very naive. It’s seedy as anything. I’m sure these kinds of debauched activities (ie paying for sex in laneways, not rape) happen at a lot of clubs.Still wouldn't want this guy around my club, if they're up to that sort of stuff.
Its Schrodinger's cat in legal form. And some can't comprehend that women make up things.
You were saying?
