Yes it was, but we had this argument 14 months ago, although they never did answer what at the PM was supposed to be doing? Just got rubbish replies about it was dealt with 20 pages ago which it wasn’t.

Someone felt he was personally responsible for providing PPE to state fire services, another thought the Federal government should be providing food and water to a states fire services and someone else said everyone was scared and him sitting in Canberra would take away that fear whilst others wanted him doing even more photo ops on the fire ground, even though he’d done plenty of them and they weren’t stopping the fire!!!

But hey it’s given sooks a good 14 months of being able to complain about something so trivial and pathetic it makes them feel good.

FWIW , i thought it was stupid that we had to wait for the Vic Premier to get the daily stats during the covid lockdown as well.
Mostly it was just numbers that i could have read in 30 seconds. It was also stupid that we catered to a small number of deaf people ( mostly who could have read it equally as well as myself ) and ignored those with English as a second language.

So he was supposed to be putting together this national firefighting fleet in the week before Christmas from scratch? Yeah, that sounds plausible.

Fact was the Federal government had been providing support the entire time, Scotty had been out there regularly and it had been dragging on for months and like the people fighting the fires, he was entitled to a holiday as well.

It was just a typical overblown storm in a teacup to get everyone riled up to blame the PM because the bush was burning!
