Welcome to The 'Gabba to witness this clash between The Allies and WA, in a clash that has two very different teams with two very different motivations seeking victory today. The Allies enter this game as one of 4 teams capable of winning the comeptition, slightly ahead of the others on percentage. WA are at the opposit end, sitting on negetive points and winless after 3 games, playing for pride and anger after watching their last chance go up in smoke last Wednesday against Vic Country. The stagge is set for a hard and fast contest between the two most surprising teams this tournament has thrown up: the ragtag Allies beating all-comers and the mighty West Australians lowering their colours to every team they've played. Cpatian Ljp has shaken things up, playing boncer as a full forward and hawkpatrol as a mid. The pacemaker-boncer contest should be a cracker, while at the other end of the ground J3V lines up on Fumbles, who has been servicable to date. The Allies' midfield has been superb but captain IMS has moved himself onto the half back line to free up space for impressive young vice-captain PVF to play as a ruck-rover. Two players who have shone at times, krisholio and Glinn Mgraw line up on each other in what should also be a great contest.

And WA can't capitalise on that period of good play with a score. So the deficit is 11 points at the first break and The Allies' dominance has been pulled back a little at the end of that term. All the same they looked very dangerous in that term and you can tell that WA were very worried in the middle part of that quarter. Boncer has shown next to nothing apart from one good tackle and a fluffed shot at goal in that term and WA will need him to lift. Reardo gets his second just as the siren rings out and that's half time. This game is delicately poised on the edge of the abyss for WA. There can be no doubt that they need a performance they just haven't been able to summon all series to win this game. The Allies on the other hand will be generally pleased with their effort and intent so far in this game. Whenever challenged they've responded and J3V has looked dangerous infront of goals, even if he hasn't always appeared settled.

For WA HP has looked good moving forward but been exposed a little on the defensive side, while boncer is offering very little at full forward and players like Biggie, peterss and Tarkyn haven't showed their potential. For The Allies A Flying Pube, PVF and Duggan have looked good, while their forwardline has looked dangerous whenever the ball has gone in there.

The fight has gone out of this game as WA surrender meekly to The Allies, who are loving the chance to improve their percentage in the run into the last round. There's really not much to say about this game, it's quickly devolving into an absolute walkover and not a lot can be gained from analysing either team's performance, given only one team looks to be trying. Jobe has kicked a few goals and a few more behinds. Whoever is in the left forward pocket is pulling goals out of their arses and the WA forwardline is largely dysfunctional.

And there we have it. The Allies were never really challenged it what was a truly one-sided game. WA have sunk to depths that perhaps even Vic Metro didn;t last time around. The Allies, on the other hand, have a massive boost to their percentage which could be useful given Vic Country have wrapped it up against SA at the Adelaide Oval 14.15.99 to 8.9.57. That's thanks to Chud Lite: it cures lying about statistics in 56% of cases!

A very even effort for both sides: no one gave a s**t for WA and everyone contributed to The Allies. Well that's not entirely fair. Glinn Mgraw, Larrikin and HawkPatrol all offered some support to captain Ljp, but others, including Boncer, ShadowMan, peterss and Tarks were poor at best. Fair to say we've been poor all carnival long which is fairly disappointing to say the least. Few contributors once again although HP was very good in the middle with larrikin, Mr Eagle and myself trying valiantly all game long. Glinn and kaylie were also good in the forward line. Unfortunately the rest of the forward line is completely dysfunctional at the moment so I'm going to switch it around next game.

Let's try and get at least one win to finish the carnival.
