I'm one of the few Richmond supporters that thinks it should stay in Geelong.

It's been scheduled, leave it where it is. It's the AFL's own fault for scheduling it there in the first place.

Geelong should only be used for games against interstate clubs or games against minnows like north or Carlton.

Big 4 clubs (Richmond, Collingwood, Essendon, Hawthorn) shouldn't have to travel down there

Would be amazing if the crowd was close to what it was when Richmond lost to Geelong last year at the MCG. It is entirely possible but unlikely. Game should stay at ss

Waves to Fitzpatrick.

If the AFL is going to start moving scheduled smaller-venue home games to the home ground of the team with the bigger venue, then you could end up with WCE/Freo home games being shifted to Adelaide if they play them, GC/GWS home games being moved to pretty much any other venue.

My guess it's about the $$$ not keeping the fans happy. If the AFL decides not to schedule any saturday games at the MCG they should have to deal with the the loss of ticket sales.

Geelong fans whinging again, simple solution if you don't want your home games to be moved play them all in Geelong and don't ask for home games at the G when it suits you.
I was going to reply, but this post is so ignorant i'm now lost for words.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Game shouldn't be moved since its already been scheduled. AFL are just ******* stupid for scheduling us there in the first place. 120k combined MEMBERS and they schedule it at a ground that can hold 35k? WTF.

Also don't understand why we keep getting put there while similar clubs haven't played there for 2 decades.

Would be an amatuerish move by an organisation that seems to relish making embarrassing, amatuerish moves. And non-Geelong fans who may enjoy it happening to the Cats, maybe consider the precedent this could set and consider whether you'd want your home game being moved to the opposition's home ground so the AFL can make more $$$.

I'd be personally annoyed at this also as have already booked tickets and planned a day in Geelong with some Tiges supporting mates and it'd be lame to have to cancel, not to mention unfair on all the local Geelong supporters suddenly expected to travel AND give up a home game they've paid good membership money to get access to.

Cats/Tigers games are played at the G on an almost yearly basis and I struggle to think of the last time we had a crowd anywhere near 50k. The Tiges fans don't show up in the expected droves to the Geelong games. Until a Geelong/Tigers game DOES get a big crowd, I think the Tigers have no real complaint about playing down at KP. That being said, I'd also love to play Hawks/Pies/Dons there. We've played "home" games against Essendson at Etihad for a decade.
