Blease's style of play looks similar to Harvey, apparently.
Don't see it.

There was only one kick in that package (when he had a clear kick) that went to the opposition. By reputation he has some of the best disposal in the TAC Cup.
I don't watch TAC so my sample size is too small, but there were a minimum of 5 poor kicks from that highlights package. One was awarded an iffy free VC's way and plenty to contested situations. One smother and one down my man Mitch Robinson's throat.

He has some attractive elements. He's like a midfield version of Dean Soloman. Strong overhead and through the hips. But his pace is so so, and I reckon his footskills will be more Brock McLean (solid) than Cyril Rioli (elite).

Luke Hodge had a game this year where he turned everything over, so maybe I just saw "one of those games".

His kicking is flat and he has plenty of penetration from what I've seen. And he judges the weight he needs to put on his kicks quite well imo.

Pace is an over rated attribute imo. Intelligence and skills>>>>>>>>pace.

Is he a natural right footer? He looked pretty capable on both sides throughout that highlights package. Looks pretty good though, 2nd efforts were good.

I am not over the moon about Sidebottom. I would be happy if we took a risk with our first round pick.

The two risk picks I'd be most intrested in the first round are Hanneberry and Swift. Hanneberry is likely to be gone by our second round and not touted as being worthy of our first round. Swift could go anywhere. I think both these boys have a bit more upside then Sidebottom.

If we can trade up our 2nd rounder, we might get Hannebery there. I'm not altogether convinced that he won't still be there by #29 anyway. At the risk of being unpopular, if we don't like Sidebottom or he's gone by our pick, I'd be quite happy with Trengove to give us some KP depth down back. He could be anything.

Blease sounds about right, bottom aged, Victorian, real speed and sublime skills

Outside midfielder who doesn't get much of it and goes missing for aeons.

Does anyone have TAC average stats?

Much better than Slowbottom.. Blease has all the tools and just needs to be shown how to use them.. can't teach speed

Sidebottom kills it. I've played against him. I'd predict he would go top 10 in the draft. Also, some people are forgetting he is only 17.

^^ in other words he is bottom aged.

I would be happy with sidebottom he reminds me of a young bartell, we should be taking with our 1st 3 picks pure mnidfielders our defence is fine when we aren't getting spanked in the midfield.

Steele's parents need a good slap. What name to be lumbered with.

He's looking less and less likely for us now that we dropped back to pick 11 and his stocks seem to have gone up with some good performances in the last couple of weeks. I'd reckon North might pinch him before we get the chance.

lol its awesome. Can't wait to change my username. Goldsack2Sidebottom
Shorten it to the Golden sphincter

It'll make me lol every time i read it

Playing in the TAC GF on Friday

Speed is the most over-rated quantity in midfielders. Geelong and the Hawks are probably the slowest midfields in the league. Midfield is all about endurance (other attributes aside)

I agree to an extent, but it's still a nice attribute if your an outside, ball carrying midfielder.

Stephen Hill is growing on me. I wouldn't mind ending up with him.

i have played against him to! had to tag hi in a thirds game. he towed me up! hahah but im proud to say iv played on him. if i were collingwood i would take him. classy (would fit in at collingwood. hve a few classy blokes medhurst, thomas etc) fit wont stop running. and gets plenty of the hard ball

bah, Marty Clarke, Dale Thomas, Leon Davis and I suspect Heath Shaw will be all the midfield speed we need.

We need players like Sam Mitchell, Luke Ball, or Daniel Kerr. Ben Cousins won't hurt either.

He might not be the fastest but he reads the play exceptionally well and has awesome endurance. He has one of the best opposite foot kicks you will see aswell.

I would hope they focus on the midfield this year adding an in and under as well as an outside midfielder.

I'm keen to see what happens with Thomson from Port. Apparently kicking is not his strength, but it isn't Mitchell's either and I'd kill to have him.
