Team against Roos!

I expect John's and Fletcher will swap positions when they line up on the ground.

Leaving Houli out for another week would have been a crime.

Cole played well for Bendigo last week and gives that extra bit of run that was missing out of defense last week. More of a team balance thing until Nathan Lovett-Murray comes back.

I think the changes were about right - too many changes disrupts the team balance too much. If Watson has another poor day, then bring Lonergan in for him.

Mark johnson should play like Ebert. A stornd leading forward!!!!!!!!!!!!!
thoughts?

It would work if we didn't already have Johns, Lucas and Monfries playing as leading forwards.

Mark Johnson should be played forward and perhaps that's part of the motivation in playing Cole. To realease MJ and McVeigh.

MJ is a 30 goal a year forward that adds toughness. He used to play like he was hungry, he seems to have lost that a bit. Needs to lift the workrate.

Fletcher at fullforward almost makes sense if Mal M can control our defence. He's always good for a few strong grabs. Not sure about Courtney Johns in the back line. I'm assuming Sheeds is stirring the possum. Go Dons! Huge game for us coming up.;)

I think you're right on the possum stirring. Kangas have a small forward line (with a little pace). Fletch will be down back and may get Edwards. We need some mid size forwards and pace around the forward line (outside of Froggy)....

Seeing as i don't live in Oz I don't get to see much footy but is this Fletcher at FF a one off thing (maybe trying to exploit a perceived lack of height in our backline?) is has it been happening for a while?

Johns has been named back.

Laycock on the bench, we could try and exploit you for height without playing Fletcher forward.

Fletcher will play back.

Until he gets delisted, he will be one of my fave players for Essendon and I will continue my quest to get people to appreciate him. If he gets delisted, he will be my fave player outside Essendon.

When he has something to appreciate, I'll appreciate him.

At the moment, he's not worthy of a game. Mind you, he isn't the only one.

I totally agree, The kid has alot of potential but potential doesnt automatically mean you get a game...

I would actually like to see fletcher play at FF, i think it could be a good move actually, so if Lucas is struggling for a kick put him at CHF and put FLetcher in at FF with Johns at CHF. I can see it now i think it would actually be a really good ploy.

Well you had better get used to him being your favourite player outside Essendon.;)

Mal Michael showed he can also mark and kick goals in the fwd line .

all i want to see is sheeds mixing it up.. what i was dissapointed with last week it was obvious that we were lacking drive off the backline so why didnt sheeds but some pace in the backline ... if somethings not working couter attack it sheeds.. keep reinventing yourself and the team

He did. Cole has been brought in to fill that role. It's not that Cole is particularly pacy but he plays in an attacking style and runs off his opponent.

One thing I would like to see is Lovett placed as a loose man in the backline.

Hille has been sensational in his return. Been one of our best so far at half time. IF ONLY WE COULD KICK STRAIGHT!!!
Ive noticed Jobe has been kicking a bit more aswell, and it's been good so far.
