Cool that you can contradict yourself.
Well done. Nine letters. New PB?

In future don't hitch your wagon to other poster's comments if you aren't prepared to stand by them.

What point are we trying to make exactly? I said.

Coopers said he played very well. You stated that he didn't. Which most would interpret as a direct contradiction to Coopers assessment of his performance. I felt your assessment today didn't match what you said after the game. That was the point I was trying to make.

Which I stand by. It wasn't a game deserving of an immediate recall after sucking with the Crows virtually all season long. That is my point.

Who deserved a game instead of Porplyzia then? Maybe Porps ticked the boxes required with the coaching staff. The ones that don't show up on the stat sheet or with flashy gameplay? Maybe its a team balance thing. Jaensch to the wing for Mackay, Porplyzia to play forward.

IMO he was asked to go back to West, find some ball, get some confidence, train well and you are good chance of getting back. This, I think he achieved and was deserving of a recall.

Anyone who can't see that Porps is easily the best option to bring into this weeks 22 is blinded by their own bias. But I guess that's pretty easily done when Drummond is around the traps.

A guy goes from picking up a few touches and kicking a couple of cheap junk goals for the worst team in the sanfl, to playing very well, or being in the best/best on ground.

Ahh can't let this one slip with a special mention. A couple of cheap goals in junk time you say? West (not the worst team in the SANFL by the way) were trailing by 6 points at 3 quarter time. Porplyzia kicked the first goal of the quarter to tie the scores and then kicked the next goal to give West a 6 point lead.

You point the finger at other posters, yet you cannot get your facts right!!

And Drummond, you agree with this? Honestly, I read all of your posts and generally enjoy your perspective and enthusiasm.

I'll take a 5 goal bag thanks.
I liked it when you didn't post as much. So I guess you are wanting a bag of 5 from Walker every week then? No worries.:thumbsu: Don't worry about any of the other stuff that makes a footballer, only the goals!!!!!!!

Who would you have brought in then?

All is not well with Porplyzia this year.

My assesment:

- Porps has never been an aerobic animal
- Porps was always doing wierd oxygen deprevation / hyperbaric type chamber training at one point to get himself anywhere near the standard when aiming for the midfield spot he wanted at one point.
- Porps didn't have no preseason cos of a dodgy hip
- Porps being no aerobic animal and having no preseason means he is good for about 10 minutes of what we expect in any one game.
- He has no base!

He still has the skills, the marking, the reflexes... he hasn't got the ability to get to enough contests each week to show what he has. His fitness is miles off AFL standard, defender are trying to expose his lack of fitness and succeeding...

I've been watching some of his chase/forward pressure efforts recently and they have been crap... where they've been acceptable he's been blowing big time.

Out of anyone on our list he's the one that needs to work 'over and above' to make the level for fitness. I'm not an expert and can't assess the difference in value between match conditioning and having a decent preseason base... but it seems all the game time he has been getting hasn't been helping from one week to the next.

He needs to play like his life depends on it this week or I expect him to be back at Westies or in some triathlon somewhere next week.

Come on you Porplyzian dude!

Great assessment

I'm very pleased to see Porps back in after one week in the SANFL. Im very interested in seeing if Phil Davis play CHB, maybe against Gumby? It would be a good match-up.

This was a great match-up and I think Davis was fantastic on Gumby. He does not rush, always remains composed and plays beyond his years. He is very cleaver at not giving away free kicks and place his body in the correct spot.

Great post. Why wouldnt anyone want a bag of 5 from Walker every week??
You do realise that if the big number is next to your name on the scoreboard you win. Or are you one of these flogs that is happy with his game if he keeps his opponent boundary side??
