Can I ask, who are you guys keen on in the draft? Is there any sort of consensus on here about what kind of player you're after, or even specific players you'd like?
Draft is barely mentioned here.

A few of us are keen on O'Brien. Have seen Noughton discussed as well.

General consensus is either speed mid, inside mid or key defender.

I'll take O'Brien

Not a huge consensus so far since pick 14 is more speculative compared to top 10 (much harder to tell who will be around) but Charlie Constable seems to be someone that everyone seems to like.

Ok, Cunningham yes! But Rohan? He can do everything right throughout the home and away season and is a factor in playing in the finals but you want to dump him because he struggles in finals?

Reverse logic: he’s dumped and no longer a factor, we have a 0-6 start again and he’s not there to keep you in the finals race...how’s that get you there? He possibly just needs a psychologist and/or another 21 blokes to do their jobs as well!
Admire your optimism. There is much I admire about Gazza but he is the first to admit he is not up to it at the G. Rohan unlike Cunningham (who I think is not worth a pinch of the Carlton Football Club, ie ****) is crazy brave and mercurial but but but he is a head case. We will not win a GF with him in the team.

We're going to need a quality inside mid and a defender soon so best available
Cheers guys

Especially given that we may be losing tippet i wouldn't be surprised to see us draft a ruck. Cant see us drsfting a kpf given aliir is seemingly in line to replace grundy and we have johnson and maibum on the list.

I think there will be a quality player we can work with around our first. Obrien is what our list most needs but a hayes or a coleman jones next pick would be great.

Ruck we can draft via a rookie spot. But it wouldn't hurt to sign a back up as well

Trading is our primary list management tool so it's really hard to have any idea about our draft position until the trade period finishes.

Yet you debunk it...is it senility or stubbornness?

Should we be concerned about Dew trying to lure anyone to the GC like Roosy tried when he went to the Dees?
How about their pick for Hanners?
I bloody would. As much as I love his guts, I just think we've had the best of him, and they need a best 6 type of player more than a pick.
We can take the bestest and fastest mid available.
Let's do it!
