Feel like our midfield has always been good. Flow-on effect from Pearce/Paxman/O'Dea, IMO.

Love watching Hanks play, always so clean and composed.

Good start to the year. New players looked solid. Team really got moving after a scrappy start to dominate the 2nd half. Hope Harris's eye is ok, only real blemish on the night

I thought our forward structure looked better when Harris went off . Heath is a warrior, McNamara runs all game , our defence will have tougher opponents in weeks to come .

Love Purcell. Pretty underrated player still in the game, but she makes a massive difference to this side when up and about. Got a reasonable draw this season, although hard to tell sometimes. Should be aiming for top 4. Kangas still team to beat by a mile.

Agree we should be aiming for another finals run with our draw and mostly fit list.

If I was in charge of the world, I would put together a gather round for the AFLW. Gather round has been a huge success for the men’s game. If we must have the women’s season overlap men’s finals, you could have gather round during the finals bye in Gold Coast or something. You’d definitely get lots of visitors and maybe pick up new supporters. People often go to these things as a family. I’d go, and I’m not a great lover of QLD

Agree, would be a good time of year for SE Qld. Sydney could be good too? Henson Park seems to have a great vibe for Swans games.
Having a night game in Canberra this weekend was a bold choice - not too bad for the players maybe but very cold after qtr time as a spectator.

Lineup for this weekend seems Crazy-Goodyish with the 3 talls plus Bannan forward line (and Pearce and GC rucking!). Pisano maybe a bit stiff, didn't set the world alight but pressured well up forward with Mahoney last week. Maybe Tayla is a late out with the eye?

Kinda just dawned on me that fox is taking the 7 feed, which is funny. I know it's a different league but they made such a big song and dance about how their commentary is superior and pride in providing their own commentators to every game so you don't hear the 7 ones (as well as pretty much rubbing it in how they've locked 7 out of Saturday night footy)

But here they can't be ****ed, and i can guarantee that the games they do call will be done from South Melbourne

(I'm also aware there's a lot to cover with both 9 games of AFL and AFLW, we'll see what they do once the finals start)

Yeah adds a mean streak up forward I think and always flies hard into packs.
