That's true, well from my own personal experience the harder ground conditions contributed to my knee injury. There's no doubt a bit more give in the ground I could have avoided injury.

It’s less about hard grounds than the fact women are built different to men.

Think the men have been playing as of 3 weeks ago if you include afl X. Secondly the women still play on quality grounds where water shouldn’t be an issue.

So in this game, Kat Smith laid a ripping tackle in the same fashion which also resulted in a free kick against for a "dangerous tackle". What's the difference?
I hate this ****ing rule btw. The fact that these tackles go beyond a free kick is beyond a joke. They're not even sling tackles half the time. Just a good tackle where someone's head hits the ground. The Dangerfield suspension last year was ridiculous. The sanitsing of this game is disgusting.

End rant.

First Appeal by KB: Would be unfair to miss because of what happened to the dogs and bob murphy in 2016
Second Appeal: AFL is being Sexist

Now time to go the human rights commission

Phenomenally poorly handled.

Regardless of if it is sexist, they're the rules of the league that you signed up to play in, so you need to abide by them.

They are going to equal opportunity commission , over the punishment . Something about a similar offence attacks a fine intend game but a suspension in woman's game . Reported on abc this arvo

Sorry can't edit "Attracts "

I find women’s footy to be so dangerous. They are fearless but I think a lot of the players get in really dangerous positions due to a lack of footy background and also lesser conditioning/fitness than the men. The AFL are going to have to regulate the game a little to make it safer somehow.

There’s just so many contests where players are colliding heavily without protecting themselves. It’s more dangerous than the men’s game. I thought one of the girls had broken her neck in the last quarter. It looked terrible.
